For incandescent bulbs, polarity does not matter. But usually small tip is wired to +ve to minimise chances of short circuit.

From the wiring diagram, green is ground. Right +ve is Light Blue and left +ve is Orange. So it's correct.

tks. the green- should not go to small tip+. I swap the wirings already, to run led signals.

O ya MaIkEr gor, forget to inform you about your rear brake lights. The right brake light didn't light up when you apply brakes during the trip. Get it check bah. Cheers

tks. will check asap.

I always have my durian at Da ma Hua Yuan. The stall is located near my usual hair saloon. We can always have our hair wash first before our durian feast. Anyway you always want to know where I wash my hair, I can show you now.

Hi Everyone ...

Do anyone have any guide price for a SW400 ?

I was quoted $18k OTR. Is the price fair enough ?

OTR $18+k is about there, but must check/confirm all relevant costs (eg. GST, admin fees, IU + installation, etc) are included and comprehensive insurance is given, not 3PFT.

Thanks scoobydoo ...

$18k is everything except insurance. I asked around 3 shop, all about the same, so in the end just take it as norm that it doesnt include insurance. Come with Kapa box as well.

Do you think I should take the box ?

How many silverwing dont have box here ?

They are installing the IU below my left mirror, do I still have place for a GPS later ?

Btw u be getting fjs or swt400? As according to the year of manufacture, fjs is quite sometimes back.. Will urge u to get a swt instead as is newer..

Have u been to Looi's motor @ kaki bukit? Perhaps u can ask them hw much they offer u the swt. As last friday I happened to saw one new swt there as well.. To add on, I had heard that their after purchase service is one of the best one! :D

What's free just take lo.. Haha..

No worries on the place for gps, as there's still the centre of ur handlebar as well as ur brake master pumps available to mount ur gps and so on..

:cheer:

Glad to have u in my life : ) Always love one another!

Personally, I prefer the older model. I think it looks better. :cheeky:

IU unit you can ask them to wire for you into the right hand side compartment. No problems when passing through ERP and ERP car parks etc. But if its the new SWT, I saw somewhere that it might be a bit difficult to close the compartment if you put the IU unit in there.

Uncle, any information on where this can be found and how much is it? Looks very nice. But worried the bag might be stolen. Or should it be carried away after we park the bike?

Yup yup, unless u prefer the older model lo.. Check with them the manufacture date or year of the machine u are getting too :D I bet u dun wish to get a machine which has been lying in their showroom for a no. Of years right? Lol

The easy identification of swt is the twin head light assembly :D

so I still need to go and ask to ensure it is a SW-T400 ?

Now I blur ... hahaha ...

Do you think I should take the box ?

take box? why not, unless they agree to reduce price if you don't want the box... which is unlikely (their cost for a low end kappa is very low). take, but if don't intend to use, tell them don't mount so that no "extra" holes will be drilled in your SW's tail fin, and maybe can sell for better price.

most of us have box, BIG ones too (i'm using 52L maxia)

my recommendation is to ask them to place IU inside right glove compartment. that's a proven g-spot for both FJS and SWT. your's is SWT right?

GPS? can, use this RAM mount on the left side throttle assembly...

Die la ... place order already .... how ????

They are giving me FJS400 and I thought it is a newer model ....

as far as the last time i spoke to BS (think in Feb 2012), they bring in only SWT, no GT, no FJS, no FSC.

so your's should be SWT if its local agent unit; can't say the same for PI though :p

depends on whether the shop you buy from is giving you agent unit from BS.

Currently there are 2 models for sale FJS400 and SWT400. 2012 SW

http://powersports.honda.com/2012/silver-wing.aspx

In fact I am not sure why they drop the SWT400 and replace with a older design.

the webby is US webby.

i think FSC (same look as FJS) is not discontinued but still being sold in US.

thus, its not that honda revert back to the older design but the older design is still available.

that one got abs?

me riding e swt but my log card says fjs400d. manufactured date is 2011. you try asking if its the newer or older model. can print pics to question them. get black n white, voice records, whatever to save guard yourself.

according to BS, standard SW models doesn't come with ABS. if want ABS, need to pre-order and have it mounted before collection/registration, at additional cost of about $1.2+k.

in case you're interested to add the ABS after purchase, BS's reply is they don't do post purchase "enhancements"... don't know if it's due to legal restriction or warranty support reasons.

BS will say having a SWT but registered as FJS is no biggie, an administrative "error" if you ask me. most important is that the registration's chassis and engine nos. tally with those etched on the bike :p

any potential problem with LTA or insurance claims? dunno but best to check with LTA whether it needs to be corrected. if need, ask BS (or the bike shop) to sort it out.

yes, very important to check year or manufacture cos you should be paying less if it's an few years old stock. e.g. in 2008, Looi's quoted abt $1.2k less for a brand new 2006 stock.

but seems SW was "out of stock" lately, unlikely its a few years old stock.

Personally, I prefer the older model. I think it looks better. :cheeky:

IU unit you can ask them to wire for you into the right hand side compartment. No problems when passing through ERP and ERP car parks etc. But if its the new SWT, I saw somewhere that it might be a bit difficult to close the compartment if you put the IU unit in there.

yup, i also prefer the FJS, especially the huge glove compartments and the built-in "cigarette" socket :p

Uncle, any information on where this can be found and how much is it? Looks very nice. But worried the bag might be stolen. Or should it be carried away after we park the bike?

The rack is somebody customised in Italy. Side bags can be any soft bags that are meant to be removed when parking. I think can use hard cases bah but depends on whether can customise the catch for the panniers.
