The sensor should have mesh screen which at high temperature function self cleaning. When gas reaches super heated temperature there shouldn't have any by product.

I think it was because the sensor was not connected. So just receiving carbon in direct line of fire.

Anybody seen such a carbon covered O2 sensor before? This was not connected but plugged in. Read that it's not good for sensor if left so.

Plugged in but not connected? Won't that give the ECU a false reading of the O2 in the exhaust?

There's an O2 eliminator connected to ECU. So if planning to bypass O2, better remove the sensor and replace with a blank. Better air flow also. Btw, this is not on SW.

I see... So there's a jumper connector with load to give a constant reading eh...

Yes, it's a 3100 ohm resistor.

Yes, it's a 3100 ohm resistor.

So this 3.1K ohm resistor is the optimum value for the ECU?

It's just to force the ECU to read 0.45V so that it will not alter the fuel map. Any electronic / electrical engineers can help to confirm some calculations?

Hmm, it depends on the output voltage from the ECU. From there then we can only determine the voltage drop across the resistor.

Also we need to know the optimum value for the ECU to adjust the a/f ratio...

ok, I'll go measure the open circuit voltage. So if you have V and R, how to calculate the voltage drop?

Also we need to know the optimum value for the ECU to adjust the a/f ratio...

If you want ECU to adjust fuel, then leave everything as it is as the standard O2 will tell the ECU whether it's rich or lean. Putting in the resistor will fix the voltage (presumably at 0.45v) where the ECU does not interfere. If you want to set how rich or lean, then you need wideband O2 and PC5 where it can measure the a/f ratio accurately. Unfortunately, there's no PC5 for SW. Maybe can use one of those for Honda 4 cylinders, that's if you are keen to explore.

Think my 13 year old Daikin going to die off soon.

Just after general service yesterday and 1 of the fan coil (main bedroom) now can auto switch on and off on its own.

Will call Daikin tmr to repair.

If cannot... then must replace entire system liao.

Currently, what system (brand/model) is good and economical?

Any lobang for good dealer?

Went to one of the bike shop at Serangoon and was quoted there is promotion for this SW-T400, D/P 2K, $290 X 60 days (exclude insurance). Make up total 19.4K. Can anyone advise is this a good deal ?

Do you have Class 2?

If have, can also consider the Integra700, which is 1 or 2k more.

Alternatively, the NC700X dual sports at 18k OTR, which is even cheaper than the SW-T400.

If really wanna get a SW-T, there are a couple of relatively new 2nd hand I think. A 2-year SW-T should be about 13k +/- bah.

Then again, 20k for a brand new should be on a slightly high side.

Thanks for the advice. Yes i have class 2 lic but i still prefer SW.

Checked with ASP, HENG, MI and BP, they dont hv 2nd hand SW-T400. Will look around in ubi tomorrow.

Since u have class 2, Perhaps can consider a new SWT-600 instead of SW-T 400. Machine Parts are very similar to SW-T 400 so no need to worry :D

:cheer:

Glad to have u in my life : ) Always love one another!

Eh. I dont think it's 20k for brand new. Base on my calculation, the OTR price excluding insurance is 16.5k leh.

2k + 290x60 months is inclusive of interest already.

So, 16.5k for brand new, is reasonable....

But hor, this shop he went to, will have early settlement fees etc.

hmm... total is 19.4k leh, excluding Insurance some more. Where come the 16.5k?

Bike price OTR normally already included the loan amount, right?

Simi fan coil? Are you referring to the electrical coil of the fan or the coil/fin of the condenser unit?

Go for Daikin lo. Many spare parts around.

I have a installer that is very sincere. If you want I can intro you.
