Friday... I'll be at GP Esso by 6.15am. *6.30am move off if possible.

1st stop - Ayer Keroh Petronas (210km - 8.30am). Petrol only.

2nd stop, the usual Dengkil Macdonalds for longer tea break (133km - 10am). N3.118764, E101.593402

3rd stop, Tapah Shell (135km - 12.30pm). Petrol only.

4th stop, R & R along Gerik HW, near bridge. Butt rest, tea break (118km, 1.45pm) N4.993973, E100.949474

5th stop, Penkalan Hulu Petronas (109km, 3.15pm). Petrol only. N5.703194, E101.000071

6th Stop, Checkpoint. (6km). ** After petronas roundabout, TURN RIGHT at the 1st traffic light junction.

Arrival Hotel, 4pm (SG time) or 3pm (Thai time).

Massage, dinner, shopping, disco/pub.

 

 

Or... I might stay at Baba House on Thur, then meet the rest at Dengkil Mac. *Pending work commitment on Thursday.

 

 

Got my tyre changed this afternoon :) Ready to rock & roll this Friday......

Quite the opposite; love the bike absolutely! All the kinks have been ironed out under my care. Just that the bike is too powerful for me, and riding it requires a certain level of skill and concentration, else it's easy to get into trouble. Prefer a laid-back, twist-and-go approach without having to worry about gears. Still considering. If somebody fated and worthy comes along, then sell. Else see whether I can be a better rider since it's already paid for. You keen? :p

 

Out of my budget no time for it...But if a K4 comes along with a reasonable price tag, I might go for it..I have a soft spot for k4 and k5 GZXR 600/750..And yellow pls....hahaha

At the expected $18k ++, may have a few other make/models to choose from.

Hmm... really... the Mutol 7100 takes around 1-week to stabilized (thin out?).

 

Every time I change EO (twice only lah with this 7100), bike will feel super heavy and laggy.

After about 8 days, it becomes very light throttling.

 

Ready for some fun cornering at Gerik highway this weekend liao.

but seriously... if budget is not a constraint, go for it.

the feeling of riding a "virgin" vs a "divorcee" is very different.

If comparing to SW, Integra will be closer, or at least NC700XD with add-on panniers bah. Anyway, I think better to wait for gen2. VFR1200DCT gen2 solves gen1 DCT issues at low gears and added new features. SW platform is already 10 years sorted out on the other hand. Any issues faced will have more readily available answers.

yup, like Uncle said... SW is a sorted out, although old tech but proven and simple to maintain machine :thumb:

 

some pp felt that paying $18k for >10 years old-tech is not worth, but some prefers to pay for proven machines... one man's meat is another man's poison :p

Hi guys, harder front fork springs only available at MW or can i source for it elsewhere too?

 

You can also check Bitubo from Ram / Mezzo a few units from MW Eunos but I think need indent. Bitubo is harder than Hyperpro. Have you serviced your forks before? If not, doing so will restore the damping if you don't like it hard.

I heard from my friend that Silverwing or most scooters able to use Car Engine oil due to scooters using dry clutch and not wet clutch like the normal motorcycles..... is it true?
