Yes air flow, but a bit worried if it would buffer the rain as well as the non alrflow version, any opinion on this?

 

I rode NSH on sunday with lots of rain on and off at 120-140km/h. The wind and rain buffer of the standard shield is ok

 

but a slight improvement in height and width would make talking to pillion more comfortable in my opinion.

U.S site often reference the 600 version, then I got somewhat confuse if it would fit the 400cc version ...

yes, for exterior 600 and 400 is exactly identical.

just make sure u order for fsc or fjs model.

Stay one night...made the trip just to test the scoot touring characteristic

and familiarize myself how it handles at higher speed.

 

Compare to my nighthawk, its heaven. My butt did not crack and arrive very fresh at Malacca.

Very good wind and rain buffer (again compared to my nighthawk). I did not wear rain shoes,

went thru several downppour ...how come my shoes not wet huh? lol

 

Also maintain 120km/h in the rain, handles and overtake well. Stay 1.5m away from the heavy vehicle,

did not feel the turbulance, anything nearer only the helmet got drag a bit.

allow me to summarise it to further... hmmm...

 

in US, i think they have only FSC 600cc model; even till today, the US webbies are still advertising FSC 600 and not the SWT or GT.

 

in Singapore, we have mainly the 400cc models on the roads:

* Boon Siew agent bikes = FJS 400cc (Euro model), SWT-400 (Euro model)

* parallel imported bikes = JDM 400 & 600 (both Jap models), GT 400 (Jap model), not sure if there're any FSC 600 here

 

basically, the 400cc and 600cc SW share the same chassis and engine, differing mainly in the electronics and the engine capacity. we were told that there are some slight differences in the 600cc parts, but most are usable on the 400cc. best to check for part nos. before ordering from overseas webbies.

 

ordering from local dealers are safer, but sometimes can also kok-up. e.g. i ordered a FJS meter assembly but they brought in a JDM one, luckily still can use

I had issues with the FJS and JDM too. Mine has a T switch but LTA printout and NTUC insurance

tell me its a Fjs. I was almost odering blind from online sites lol.

 

Tried very hard to find a user manual online amidst the confusing model and CC specification.

Finally got a JDM user manual online and a full Service Manual in dutch i think haha...

just self replace my old front brake pads to SBS brand.. so far so good.

feels more ''eat'' and have better confident in e braking.. lol

 

Where you purchase the SBS brake pads? Going to change my front again...I find that wave rotor eat brake pads like no tomorrow...Thks
