our SW comes with 2 original honda HISS keys.

if bike bought under finance, finance co. will keep 1 key... to tow bike in case default payment.

so buyer gets only 1 key... strongly recommend you have at least 2 keys, 1 to keep at home permanently as standby. i.e. go buy/cut/program another HISS key.

the cutting alone or both the key and cutting?

$5 for a HISS key with microchip inside is a steal.

suggest you try starting the bike with the new $5 key... if it starts, you kio tio liow.

if not a HISS key, then likely you can turn on the ignition but cannot start engine

btw, we also have a SWinger in the past who got a non HISS key just for the purpose of opening underseat

urs is without hiss microchip. hence is much cheaper than bro @Lem0n de.

 

bro @Lem0n, i suggest u go back to ur shop and request for the masterkey to duplicate a spare key. Most likely they are able to do it for u but at a higher cost than those random key duplicating shops.

I mean for Honda all keys must be present though for making of new keys to synch.

and her machine can take codes, thought I dont know what is mine for, since it does not have the hiss chip.

 

I asked her how come so advance now, must key in code when shes doing mine...and she'd mention

 

not all the codes she have....

alternatively u can check with another key duplicating shop that is located beside ah boy. just infront the coffeeshop.

I duplicate my previous gilera key with security chip there. cost me $30. hopefully they can duplicate for honda hiss keys as well.

duplicate can still be done and just like you thought, the key at finance becomes "un-startable"... but who cares

Any recommendations for rear shocks? My stock (probably 10yrs old) ones keep bottoming out even at moderate road depressions. Rear shocks cannot be serviced right?

Would stock rears be comfortable for a load of ~150kg (rider/pillion/box)?

Can either buy stock or go for the Hagon Shocks between S$250-S$300 from online.

The softest setting for Hagon is equivalent to 4 or maybe 5 on the stock.
