I'm not sure about 20 years but SW highly likely should be able to lasts 15 years.

If the engine is still good, I guess some might consider an extension of 5 years ($3k+) and scrap it after that.

hi SW9000/chubb;

what about de-registering the bike when due and bid for a "sensible" COE at a later time? Not too sure if this is viable?

thx

Hmm... front is not standard sized?

Anyway, tire pressure normally is 200kpa for front and 250kpa for rear.

I've noticed also that front tyre looks smaller.

"new" service from Nets in Singapore for more convenience...

logo_vCashCard.pngvCC-NoManTopUp-icon.pngvCC-NoERPAdFee-icon.png

From 28 May, motorists can sign up for vCashCard, a new service that allows motorists to pay for their ERP charges using their credit/debit cards or via their bank account without the need for a physical stored-value card. This service is provided by NETS, in partnership with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and United Overseas Bank (UOB). Motorists who sign up for vCashCard using their UOB credit card will have their top-up fees waived for the first year.

Motorists can register for a vCashCard account via the NETS website at vcashcard.nets.com.sg.

How does it work?

* Motorists register for a vCashCard account via the NETS website at vcashcard.nets.com.sg.

* Upon successful registration, the vCashCard account will be topped-up with $50 from the registered credit/debit card or bank account. The ERP charges incurred will be deducted directly from the vCashCard account.

* The vCashCard account will automatically be topped up with $50 whenever the amount in the vCashCard account falls below $10.

Benefits

* No admin fees

* Free registration

* Free top-ups with UOB credit cards

The first phase of vCashCard allows motorists to use the service for ERP charges. NETS will launch Phase 2 of this service, in which vCashCard will be extended to car park payments, later this year.

when phase 2 roll out, don't have to worry about forgetting to take out cash card from IU, no more insufficient funds (except when no $$ in bank :lol:), no more cash card expiry problems liow :thumb:

check out this post at Tech Corner:Some Tips for Convenience

i've added a section on "Virtual Cash Card"

with such card-less services, LTA can consider making the IU even smaller cos don't even need a slot for cash card liow.

in Australia, their "ERP" or e-Toll or e-TAG, etc tags are small like the size of a tic tac, pasted onto the windscreen and causes minimal visual obstruction.

Must know when the vibration occurs; Idling? Low speed? High speed? Acceleration? Cruising?
