Some experience to share after yesterday riding up to malacca visit my relatives, my bike top speed & fuel consumption worries me. Its my new max 1st time going up north & trying top speed & yet I only got 150km/h top WTF! & the FC I got is 12km per litre.

 

So I decide to go hong Leong after i come back Sg, but up to my surprise on my way back my bike can achieve nearly 180km/h top & FC at 17km/h.

 

So I wonder could it be new bike that never maintain full throttle up north for a distance need to get season before it can set to it normal?

 

Does anyone here experience that? Cause i can't recall my new 07 Tmax on it's 1st top speed performance..

Hmmm just my guess. Could it be strong head wind? Or maybe the variator unable to slide and change fully to the higher ratio for top speed?

They will send it to you by hand, if you not home then they will put it in mail box. I got the 6000k HID, after arrive i send it to Ac motor for installation, and I must admit that he did a good job, I request a switch to on & off for the low beam & it's nicely done.

 

If I never turn on high beam only my left hand side H7 will light up, turn on high beam additional right hand side H4 will be on too, meaning by then i turn on high beam both left & right will be on..

 

I am interested in this mod how much does it cost you? I wanna both side light up....

Yar i also suspect could be the strong head wind, but it feel like no power, top speed struck at 150 some time 140 & i already full throttle, that on my way up to malacca.

 

I am interested in this mod how much does it cost you? I wanna both side light up....

Hachi, mine is original low beam H7 always on, if I turn the high beam on, additional h4 will light up, so i go Ac motor to fix a switch for the low beam to be control on or off.

I think yours like my 07 Tmax if you switch to high beam then low beam will off, then if you switch back to low beam high beam will off so it only either one will on can't be 2 at the same time. But Ac motor will be able to do it, labour cost only acceptable price dun worry..

Mine also white max 2011 but i full throttle all the way then i quite shock to see my top only 150km/h as my previous 07 Tmax also can achieve at least 170 km/h top. Then the FC for 150km/h top is only 12km per litre! Horrible!

You try top speed yet? Btw cruise at 120-130km/h your FC 20km/l is normal, Sg local riding should be able to hit 22-23km/l, now i want to further observe my FC i think it break the season point already FC everything should be the same like my previous 07 Tmax, if not right then i will go hong Leong complaint haha

So might as well do it all together.....

Thank for the info...I only placed my HID in my high beam....Lost the flashing of the beam but need it when I needed most...Wicked light throw.....

Damn been using brakes too much. My rear brake pads need to be replace after using for only 6 months and 9k miles. Anyone got recommendation? Thinking of using braking sm1 or ebc kevlar pads

Use back the original is the best then aftmarket as it won't eat up brake disc...

 

Dun poor cold water on hid user haha meaning those using hid must prepare 1k anytime anywhere..

Where got pour cold water! Haha. Just give information. Original brake pads are expensive not as effective as aftermarket. If you scare disc then get organic pads. If you want performance then can sintering pads.

hid is not a must, but if u travel north south often, i guess it helps alot... the normal halogen don't throw the light far enough. 4300k has abit of yellow in it, any higher will be white to purple
