Where u purchase it from?

 

Eversuccess, for tamx that uses R1 and R6 calipers is easy to find the brake pads....A tab noisy when braking lightly due to the metallic particles inside.....

I used or track and touring during my sport bikes days....Have not failed me yeah......

been using HIDs for all my other bikes for the past 6 years. incl 1 blackbird, 1 silverwing and a R1150GS. always passed inspection and road blocks

I used vesrah semi metallic brake pad a cross between sintered and organic...Cheap and good $18 only per pair...

 

I see. I'm still considering where should I use metallic brake pads. Ha ha. Braking also have semi metallic. The problem is that I scare the will eat disc. Lol. I had 3 experience on different bike different brake pads that eat my disc.

How does the pad perform when it cold and wet?

I know lah. Haha I also using hid. But just want to tell other people here that there is a risk of going into trouble Mah. Anyway you can also do anything just don't get caught

My experience using the original brake pads will not eat up your disc, after market maybe performance better as what u said but eating up disc, in 3-4 years time u may need to change disc..

one more week for my t max ... already ordered accessories liao. waiting to ship over. riding for so many years first time bike havnt come accessories buy already ... lol

Damn been using brakes too much. My rear brake pads need to be replace after using for only 6 months and 9k miles. Anyone got recommendation? Thinking of using braking sm1 or ebc kevlar pads

 

How much is the original brake pad?

 

Funny thing is that I like the stock brake setup compare to my k5 1000 or 08 r6. It's quiet, instant warm up and good feed back. Tried EBC HH and vesral race before. The EBC is grippy but make a lot of high pitch noise when wet. Versah is very good but took some time to warm up and very ex.

 

Didn't try braking before but heard good comment about it. Maybe you can give it a try and let us know Hee.

As all rotor set up need a bit of dragging before it bites...But your bike is still very new...My Tmax after 25000miles still on stock pads...I changed the front cos backside itch......

ya i used to ride a black gsxr during my army days around 2002-2004. i thought your nick looked familiar too. went kulai with gsxr riders once many years ago liao. that was before my blackbird

I used to ride a black/silver gsxr back than after that changed to a red cbr954.

Some experience to share after yesterday riding up to malacca visit my relatives, my bike top speed & fuel consumption worries me. Its my new max 1st time going up north & trying top speed & yet I only got 150km/h top WTF! & the FC I got is 12km per litre.

 

So I decide to go hong Leong after i come back Sg, but up to my surprise on my way back my bike can achieve nearly 180km/h top & FC at 17km/h.

 

So I wonder could it be new bike that never maintain full throttle up north for a distance need to get season before it can set to it normal?

 

Does anyone here experience that? Cause i can't recall my new 07 Tmax on it's 1st top speed performance..

 

Gong xi fa cai bro.. I bad experience when I travel at night. Real bad.The only way is to bypass the o2 sensor. Get something to cheat the ECU as what you been planning :)

Some brake facts

Good grade brake pad eat rotor

Med grade brake pad change fast(dusty)

Cheap grade brake pad slightly better then no brake pad.

 

It's depend how deep your pocket and have you done your homework well. :)

Huh? 25000 still on stock pad? Mine only 9000k took out the pad and take a look need to change already.

I think I will just try the ebc organic more rotor friendly. Stock pad are like 75 dollars and 85 dollars.
