140-150km/h is the comfortable riding speed... if u do 160 its abit stress on e bike... i've rode from hatyai and back to singapore detour cameron, genting and malacca all in a day and the bike still can perform in tip top condition... what more to ask for?... not forgetting its a scooter...

The shop from Thailand replied me. They change the motor of the fuel pump instead of the whole pump. The motor is from Keihin which they are selling at S$240. Keihin has a factory in Thailand so they could have sourse for the parts easily.

Did some research. Our pump is from 'Aisan' according to the workshop manual.

Should I give it a try?

Anyway, my bike just sent to HL this after. Tml morning will go down to question them but just too bad I can't be there to supervise as I have to go to work later.

bro... where u get this pics from... if u look closely... this is the current aisan model which is made in china... just a advice if they are going to sell u this dun be duped by them... if not then its ok... but the installing for the pump is gonna be a big project even though the keihin type will be avail...

Hmmm thats the pic they sent to me but they claim that the pump they are selling is from Keihin. You comfirm the one in the pic is from Aisan? Cuz i never get to see my old pump when they took it out. Anyway i'm still undecide whether to order the pump or not as HL just replaced mine and hopefully with the info i got from the Italian tmax forum, mine was the latest updated pump from Yamaha.

Anyone have their pump replaced under warranty or my their own workshop, can let me know which one did they change it to?

This is the 1st pump HL replaced. The blue marking is circled in red.

This is the 2nd pump HL replaced. The marking is in brown.

The stock pump from factory has no marking. Just want to collect some data to compare.

BTW the pump can be seen just by lifting up your seat and its located under a rubber cover behind the fuel refuel cover.

Seems like most of the tmax after 2010 got the blue label. So I'm the suay one who got the worst of the worst pump which does not even have a label.

ric78 did you know when is the shipment of your bike? Is it during Dec last year or after Feb this year. Cause the forum over at Italy claim that the brown version(which is what you have) was released from Yamaha around this year Feb to cover the, sometime faulty pump, from the blue version.

Guys I'm just trying to gather info to see how true the info is. So next time touch wood someone suay suay burn their motor, they'll know which one is a better replacement.

Anyway the guys over at HL did what they can as Yamaha did instruct or provide them with a firm solution.

They insulate the tank and

IMG_0124 copy.jpg

if you notice there's a plastic cover in the red arrow, they removed it to help air flow at the tank. Its a easy job to remove the cover, so guys may want to give it a try which may help a little. The only negative point is that some dirt and water may get in.

Anyway here's the pump they replacedIMG_0141.jpg

Details from LTA show that my bike is manufactured in 2011. Not sure of the shipment date.

So if it's true, meaning my bike cant be shipped in dec last year
