OEM rack need to drill one hole in the tail piece plus both pillion grab rails removed. I chosed hepco and becker.. No need to drill any holes.

 

Yeah thats why i changed to a H&B rack n box! Lucky the previous box i got came with a drilled panel. I still have it, if any one wants it just get it from me cheap cheap so no need to drill hole in your original panel!

 

Hi guys, I'm reading the posts backwards to prepare myself as I plan to get a Tmax too, and was wondering about the IU.

 

If you place it in the right pocket, how much wire allowance do you have for taking it out if the carpark gantry has difficulty setecting it?

 

And does it fit in snugly, or do you use a cloth or some foam tape to keep it from hitting around inside while you're riding?

 

it won't trash around lah, fits quite nicely.

 

For my IU I placed it at the front of the bike, underneath the front cover. So far no issues on carpark gantry and erp gantry.

 

Downside is its a hassle to insert and remove cashcard. I just top it up and leave it inside. Each time I wash my bike I take out and check the balance.

Hmm.....anyway just to say hi to all! as i have just gotten my Tmax 08 model last week.im really impressed by this scooter i must say.however i wish to find out and get to understand better of my Tmax from some Old timer here.

 

when at idling, felt a motion of roughness coming right beneath rider seat to be exact the feel of it is right from piston.while traveling at 120-140km/h i felt and heard ( Tik Tok Tik tok ) not sure what previous owner did or did he really took care of this bike.

got the greymax yesterday....

seriously need sometime to get used to it...

running in can already feel the traffic lights pick up....very smooth and comfortable...

but i gonna struggle the first 1000km below 4k rpm... n 4k rpm is abt 70km/h nia need to go abit higher then the cvt will shift up...

need to wake up earlier to go work liao...

my iu is mounted on my right brake pump...a small black metal braket is used...

In process... I have only 2A and was considering scooters. Tmax was the one that made me wanna take Class 2. If not I'll save the trouble and get Maxsym. So I'm chionging practicals at SSDC now...

how far ur very first full tank last during run-in?

i haven reach 100km needle already approaching half mark liao...

n i guessed i misread the manual liao...

it says avoid prolonged usage above 4k rpm for first 1000km...not avoid revving above 4k rpm... lols

n all my trip meters are in meters n kms...only speedo outer ring is mph inner kph...

I think it's 100miles. The odometer n trip meter are in miles. Cos when my 530 hits 100 miles, I'd probably have half a tank of petrol left.

Manual put 15L. Anyway varies on the rider's riding style. I most of the time expressway plus I don't really drag my bike. Only when I cross the border then different story. Hehe

same as the 500s, i ard 12l can go abt 160 miles...
