i travelled at max speed (180-190km/hr) for my 1st Tmax500 (Blackmax) all de way on nsh to malacca..it was very comfortable and stable..

tried with and without pillion with top hepco box.

just sold my burgman and change to 10 mth old tmax 500 hope the bike is as reliable as my old girl.

you mean the tick tick sound when you 1st initial take off. but after that ok? don't know whether mine is 4B5 (no idea).

BTW is our road tax 67 bucks 6 mth? my damn log card put my bike as tmax 530 and 530cc. But as far as i know its a 500.

I owned my brand new tmax for merely 2 years and recently when I maintain my speed at 80kmph I notice a very slight sound come out from the centre or the front, I just couldn't find out where that small sound come out from? The weird part is when my speed fall below 80 or above 85 , the noise will not come out. this slight noise only come out at 80-82kmph .

 

should I bear with it and live with it ? I am a guy that don't like any unusual sound come out from my motor de.

 

What wrong with my motor ? I doubt is my belt cos my mileage only 20 000 km . and if u say belt faulty the entire of my journey will be full of funny noises but this noise only come out when I maintain my speed at 80kmph at spore kpe tunnel. that is the speed limit at kpe.

500CC road tax is $67 for 6 months but 530cc I don't know, can anyone advise ?

Agree. Mine make some noise after 60km/h and I realise what's the problem only until my speed stopped working. Took it out and the plastic gear inside broke.

where is the speed sensor, ah cong take out the front wheel out den don't noe do what and I saw him grease some gasket as he said, is that what u all referring to the speed sensor that area that needed to be oiled? pls advise. But after he grease le , the sound still there when I maintain my speed at 78-82kmph . siannnzzzzzzz

Today I drop by to ah cong again telling him that my motor still making noise despite he had grease for me on tat sensor speedometer front wheel there. I also told him bike forum ppl say that is the crucial thing to grease and I ask him did he grease properly sufficient a not. He then take out front wheel again and check thoroughly. The round metal thing is gana scratched due to 2 mth nv did anything about it. He then use sand paper to file smoothly and grease the surrounding metal again. Guess what , after that I travel kpe and focus any sound came out at 80 kmph. Silent. My issue had been solved. My screeching sound gone le and I am so happy. I ride back to him THKS him and ask him do my regular servicing oil change ,oil filter , spark plug,3 air filter.

 

Finally thk to 2 brother that had advised me how to solve my problems. THKS. This is really a good experience to know where the fault is and I hope it will benefit to the tmaxer in future if they meet this issue again.

Wah you can tahan for 2 months? I 1 day cannot tahan already. Went home and googled for answer. Finally found the Italians were also having the same problem.
