Hi all, I feel that my tmax 530 having little noise from front, is this common?

Most likely it's the speedo gear assembly at the left hand side. If you have the tools, remove the front wheel, clean and relube the inside part of the assembly.

 

If you're unsure just bring it down to AC motor. He'll know what to do. :)

Hi Jack_pin, what is the noise like? Is it a high pitch sound? I get a high pitch sound as speed increases. So far I think it's due to the spinning of the pulley for the drive belt. I may be wrong so want to find out more from other Tmaxians.

Tks all for sharing, appreciate it. The noise happen on me, is the tick tack noise on and off, it occurs when slowing down or making a slow turn. I think I need to visit AC soon ; (

Hi, just ordered my tmax today, anyone using H&B Xplorer top case for you bike? also anyone know if i can use the yamaha oem rack with the xplorer box? anyone got photo of the tmax with the H&B rack?thanks in advance!

Where u the one yesterday at global motor? There's 2 types of OEM rack.. One to be used with the OEM top box and the other you can use other type of top box.

Hi bobktm2, how long u have this noise? How do u plan to fix it? Go to AC? May be can met there :)

 

For the OEM rack, I just checked the pricing last Sat from HL. The one that can fix only Yamaha top box cost $450, and the other one can fix other brand (they call it OEM rack for Givi box), cost $220.

But I am not sure if the rack can support up to 45L? I only seen some pics in here 35L Trax topbox with OEM rack.

2 mths ago I also having slight buzzing sound but I just couldn't find out where the problem is . this sound occurs when the speed was at ard 80-90 constant. I go to AC motor, he take out the speedo there and oil something near there. He claim to say it is common for tmax having such noise cos usually in the rain mth period water tends to seep inside and make it dry.

 

After he oil that parts my bike was silent for 2 days after which it started to make noise again. I am a very impatient person therefore ask him to order a new set of speedo which costs me $130. Problem solved and I pray hope when reach coming oct to dec(raining day) it wont give me noise again.

Thanks Anric79! Just a quick question, the noise you're getting, is only happen when running at 80-90 kmph? What about during slowing down and slow turning? Will it give you the same noise?

I bought from agent. Now coe go up so high after I book. Unlucky man. Anyone using the oem Rack? Better quality than the h&b one? Thanks.

I wanted to get OEM rack at first but after I learnt that I need to drill a hole through the tail cover I go for H&B. No need to drill hole or anything like that.

Can share your topbox pictures? How many litters you are using H&B. $580 is the price for Topbox and base plate? What about the price for the H&B rack? Thanks in advance for your sharing. :)

 

Hi Bobktm2, probably you are right, go after cny will be a better idea, coz I foresee this sat should be very crowded in AC, coz everyone want to service their bike :).. huat ar....

Mine was kept in the lockable box on right side.

So far no problems with car parks or ERP.

It was done by previous owner.

I used to place it in the right locker but had problems entering my work car park. So I used a diamond plate ram mount and mount it on top of my brake reservoir. Will post a pic if I'm free.
