Well the main difference between a scooter and a normal bike in terms of maintenance in my opinion is the belting. The belts have a lifespans and has to be change regularly abt 10k km or so. This should set you back abt 700 bucks. Apart from that, the rest are quite similar apart from the fact that scooters got alot of tupperware and you jus have to be careful when doing diy projects on the bike not to damage the tupperware.

Sitting position for the tmax is quite high and the seat is comfortable. You can ride the whole day and won't feel tired or hot between the legs because you are not straddling an engine. In light rain , your shoes will be kept dry, and if u use the standard windshield you be dry too almost. The best part abt the tmax is that it handles like a normal bike but protects the rider like a scooter with decent storage. Hope that's gives you some idea of the tmax

700 bucks for a belt?!! Lol!! Is there any aftermarket belt to substitute? Well i just wanna use it for transport for work, here n there, etc. I love to go for comfort. Ive been riding alot of sport bikes, street bikes. When its get hot, the sweat on ur legs get stick to ur jeans, scald between ur thighs. Hahaha

The vbelt can last 20'000km. And it doesn't cost $700. Dunno which shop quote u this price. Vbelt, roller, uclips and labor probably cost not more than $400.

rien d'autre que le max.

Take note do not be mistaken.

No belt is 700bucks.

Tmax is running on two belt.

One is for transmission which I is v belt and it can last 20000 as mentioned by EJ.

Another is the final drive belt which base on manual last 40000km but a lot of user had used till 80000 without issue. That also ard 200plus 300 if I'm not wrong as I yet to change it.

So over all it just the additional final drive belt that is different .

Rest all same same as other bike.

Belt is same as chain

Roller / clip same as sprocket

Eo and filter no diff

Riding wise scooter is a better option for daily commuting as it is auto gear and the posture is a relax one. Plus can play some corner when u in the mood. Hehe...

Overall I will say Tmax is a good buy. Touring also no issue

Bro it's either the alignment of the belt, rear brake sticking or rear bearings. Rear bearing usually sound like a ringing sound.
