haha! ok! Welcome back!

can I ask u by the way, does yours sound choppy? Mine not only sounds choppy but it also jerks when I'm accelerating from 0 to 20. The jerks happens at around 10 and it's almost always consistent. I brought it to Heng Motor to fix and they said it's the 6 rollers inside so they changed it for me but the jerks have came back again! :dot:

My bike fish-tailed after uprighting from a turn at bend in carpark, the floor is a little wet. I did not have the same problem previously, it happened this afternoon after the morning heavy downpour. The thread on the tyres still looks alright and deep enough. Anyone have the same problem before? I wasn't going fast about the bend either.

The jerk is probably cause by the clutch. I rode my bike(new bike) for 8 months and I have changed my clutch twice and it doesn't come cheap. I just changed it on monday. Clutch drum $75 and clutch shoe $95. After changing the clutch I don't feel any jerk when I move off.

I don't speed and drag my scooter unnecessary. I always maintain my rpm @ or below 7k which is @ the speed of 80/90 km/h. I personally don't think the OEM clutch is durable.

Anyone here can share their experience on their scooter clutch? Is there any better type of clutch then the OEM?

Although the thread on the tyres might still looks alright and deep enough, the compound of the rubber might have turn hard. You may want to send it to the bike shop to check on your scooter tyres. Ride safely.

I saw 1 SYM rider (Loc East) wearing FU helmet and it look cool. Hoping to get 1 .Motoworld sell cheap HJC but no PSB . No sure how realiable they are since i'm new to Scooter world. Maybe our SYM bro can give me info on wearing FU and FF helmets .

Fish-tailed = front wheel was steady, back wheel traveled swaying in a left and right fashion?

if it is, maybe it's just hydro-planing meaning your tyre was rolling pretty fast and it was rolling on the water surface and not on the ground. My take is that the carpark floor was slippery due to the water.

Deep tyre threads don't mean that there will be good grip. I learned it the hard way. My GTS skidded when I was travelling really slow at a cross junction along Tiong Bahru Road while negotiating a right turn.

My advice is that you ride really slow like 10 or 20 caps when turning.

Hope my two cents help.

Btw, where did you have your clutch changed? can share?

And what is a OEM clutch? you mean like a clutch meant for GTS-200? sorry still noob..heh..

I can't say that the rollers are changed unnecessary. It may be due to the rollers. But after changing you still can feel the jerk, so high chances it is not the rollers causing the jerk.

I suggest you go to those motor shops at kallang avenue which specialize in scooters and check on your scooter.

I changed my clutch at Sunrise.

OEM mean Original equipment manufacturer.

1. any made tyre will skit when braking on wet painted surfaces. some less, some more and depending on speed

2. scooter is heavier behind so when braking do the front 30 back 70 braking to prevent the back being throw forward when using front braking.

I am usually more careful over painted strip and those metal covers because the grip is very bad when it is wet. Rode today when it was raining in the afternoon, on the normal tar road, bends are OK.

Hmmm... Yes, I heard about the rubber compound change especially if they are baked too long in the sunlight. But my bike and tyres are rather new and I do not park outdoors so very little sunshine. I will probably get the shop to check again in my next servicing just to be sure.

Thanks....
