im fairly new here. i just bought my 2nd hand X1-R recently.

Hope i can retrieve some useful informations from this forum.

 

1. What is the good battery (brand) should i choose and how much does it cost?

Recently i encounter problem with my light at speedometer.

it doesnt light up when i "ON" the key.

 

2. What is the best spark plug for this bike?

Currently im using NGK iridium but i feel not much different compare to normal NGK plug.

 

3. How much is the price for speedometer cable?

 

4. Any idea which EO is most suitable amongst Motul 300V, Liquimoly, OWS and AMSoil?

My first try after buying the bike is Motul 300v 10w-30 but i feel my machine cant reach to maximum performance

 

5. Where is the recommended workshop to do full servicing?

with regards to ur queries bro..

i dun have all the answers to ur questions but i will try my best...

 

1). For battery, use Yuasa as far as they have stock...not sure whether they have it for our size though..but on this can double check for u as well as alternative brands...

But if ur speedometer light does not come on, it might not be the battery...

Rev ur bike slowly and see if the light becomes bright and then dim when u release throttle...this will let u see if ur rectifier is fine...press ur horn and play with ur lights at night and u will automatically noe if the battery is weak due to the dimming effect...

It may be because of wiring gotten loose or even the bulbs in the meter have blown...

 

2). For spark plug, try the OWS double iridium tip ones...

personally feel they are better...

 

3). Speedometer cable price really need to go down check...

 

4). Since u already try the motul one, now try one of these...

-OWS 900

- Belray

 

OWS 900 is the lightest in their fleet so u might feel a bigger difference...i am using this oil and i think it is

 

5). Just overhauled my bike and would recommend you to visit them as they generally do a good job for all bikes that go there...they also charge reasonable price for un-biased service...

Try Unique Motorsports...

 

alternativly, u can also try a motor tiam that is near ur place...

hope any of these at least helped abit eh...

1. it could be ur wiring lose or led in ur meter burn...u could go to ur nearest bike shop for check first.

 

2. i dunno which spark plug is best la... i am using NGK iridium too, to me it is ok ah...it is up u abt dat.

 

3. for speedometer cable, is abt $15, bcos i jus change mine cable.

 

4. for EO, i am also not sure... but to me i prefer motul 7100 10w40 or 10w50, i dun remember which ah..haha

 

5. dat wan i dunno yet bcos i have do full service on my bike maybe wen it reach one yr den i do a full service den i tell u... dis wan u can ask e more senior or experience...hehe:lol:

1. yes, i tried to rev my bike and the light in my speedo was lit up and went off when release the throttle as well as the signal light blink very fast (i think 3x per second)

 

any idea where to get yuasa battery? or have you ever replaced before?

 

2. I will try OWS double iridium as you suggested.

any idea how much is that?

i bought my NGK at LAB for 12 bucks.

Ya i know. Hopefully i can get my X1-R by next week. I just asked AXA for insurance (im 20 here), and might consider first party since it cost $1100 which i think is kinda worth it.
