Wow! Superb! :thumb: Like that I will just go to the shop and do the same. One thing for sure, I will do the same if I purchase future new bikes under Hire Purchase. Just go there and duplicate my key! And forget about what happened. Thanks!

Yo everyone, long time no post.

Just did a minor make over on my bike. This is the current look.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v78/Forhod/bike.jpg

White paint work

Front Basket

New Mirrors

New Throttle Grip

Carbon Fibre Bellypan

Left with spraying rims to complete the whole look I looking for. But the paint work sucks and had a lot of issues with the workshop (quite popular with kups). :sian: And as for the bellypan, before installation, w/s fail to inform me that this involves removal of the side stand. Only after installing they return to me the side stand then I know have to remove the side stand. Anyway I resolve this by bringing to another w/s to do some modification to fix back the side stand. :sian:x2

Another big lesson learned, for engine mod, stick to one w/s.. by internals was swapped for stock with another w/s (another quite popular in the forum) when I ask them to check my internals when I just got the bike for a 2nd opinion. ( I just got the bike a few months back that time, during this time my sub rider is riding the bike), so that's why I didn't know until I brought the bike back to my regular w/s. Remod the bike and spend another bomb. :sian:x3

Noticed a few fellow X1rs in the east, holla me if you see me. I'm at Pasir Ris with the plate 69.

yo bro where u spray ur white?

i can double cfm RedRangeR's post on duplicating the key with the keyhole. it can be done. i personally have the original key with me and i keep it at home in case of emergency. i'm currently using the spare key and my bf is using the duplicated key

i use knn open port on my x1r, was good but so doesn't fuel consumption if you power throttle too much.

Hi guys im a X1-R rider close to 3 years now and i would like to share some info with you guys regarding maintenance, cleaning and riding.

Suspension, unless you are racing i dont think there is a need to get one. But getting one would provide better stability, better cornering balance and also not forgetting the corner siaos, higher cornering speed. But even if you corner please bear in mind Singapore road surface is very unpredictable, there might be sand, oil or water on the road surface and they might provide the elements to make your bike skid. For that i shall proceed to the tyres.

Tyres, all X1-R/Spark stock tyres comes in the brand IRC which i changed after 1000km after i got the bike. Ever since then i have been using Bridgestone Battlax aka the popular and better brand trusted among all of us. I have been using Battlax for the past few years while riding my X1-R already and it is possibly the best tyre ever for our bike. Cornering if you trust your bike stock footrest can touch the road and any one behind you would see sparks fly out of the footrest. But do remember that X1-R is a bike meant for transport only but it can do stuffs that surprise bigger cc bikes too. Today i just changed my tyres to the Michelin Pilot Sporty. At $110 the price is way below the Battlax's $200 price tag but i would like to see what are the differences and if there is i shall share the reviews with you guys. Need to ride away the wax for the tyres also, so i cant corner too low or speed yet.

When it comes to tyres we must remember the brakes. For now im using standard brake pads for i use my bike for transport only. But do ask your mech to check on your brake pads every servicing as i almost had a few close calls with taxis speeding out of blind spots and riding behind certain cars. I would say that it is wasnt for my brake pads, brake disc and steel braided brake hose i would have not share this with you. Brake discs can be attained in JB or local store but of course JB got better prices. And if you were to change into a larger disc brake do remember that it will take time for the brake pads to bite into the disc so the front brakes especially wont feel the bite as strong but as time goes by you would feel the jerk of the disc brake. For steel braided brake hose i will emphasize to change this first because the effect is immediate. You can feel the braking power as soon as the brake hoses are installed.

Alright is this what i have for now. If you guys would like to know more i'll share more with you. Anything here is based on my experience of riding of close to 3 years, not alot, but i hope can help you guys. There will be a update on chains and i shall upload a video to let you guys know what im trying to explain. I hope i do not get kp for being a smart aleck and if anyone were to think that im a phoney then let me know what i said wrong. And if the reasons are reasonable and i shall apologise or clarify my point of view.

Thanks guys! Ride safe, it has been raining alot at least for this month.

i feel that battlax tyres actually last longer compared to other brands.

and that it has much more grip,

i wasn't able to lock my tyres easily on battlax under hard braking, but my Michelin pilot locked easily even in the dry.

recently just changed my tyres to Michelin. i feel that the Michelin Pilot Sporty not as good as Dunlop TT900 since both are of similar pricing. i experience my Michelin tyres losing traction more often as compared to my previous Dunlop tyres especially when going over drain grills or manhole covers. i only tried Battlax tyres on my previous SP. everytime i wanna change Battlax tyres on my x1-r, my mechanic always tell me out of stock. seems like i not fated to change Battlax tyres

good info.. :D

Xue Ling still sticking to X1-R huh? Get Battlax and try it is really grippy. Now im trying out the Pilot Sporty see if i will lose traction all at manhole cover or what. Actually Dunlop got similar pricing as Battlax one it's not made in Thailand that kind but is made in Japan..
