What's the benefit of putting 2t in 4-stroke bike? Or mothball as suggested by LTC? Maybe I can try if it's good.

Does its jobs well, though the microwave sensor is annoying, disabled it. Dont trust the range capabilty, doesnt apply to indoor parkings lol, even when i shifted the antenna near my mudguard.. Battery wise, will drain if bike not in use

Hello X1-R riders,

 

Referring to my post on 3rd March regarding inspection, I would like to thank all who have responded. Thanks a million!

 

The reason for me not responding back to your replies is because of one recent terrible incident that happened to me before I flew to Bangkok from 6th to 12th March. Anyway here is the story:

 

On 2nd March, I parked my bike at the usual bike park area in my apartment in JB after coming back from work at around 4.30pm. FYI, I have living in JB for a year, and just 'celebrated' my 1st year anniversary on 1st March. Before that, I had gone to my sister's place where I last resided to retrieve letters from the letter box. It was raining heavily when I reached home so I decided to leave my things in the box 1st and take them later. I was very tired so I decided to sleep 1st. When I woke up at around 8pm, I looked out of the window and saw it was still drizzling. So I decided to do some other stuffs while waiting for the drizzle to stop. At 12.30am the next day, without realizing the drizzle had long stopped, I went down to my bike to retrieve all my items in the box. That was the last time I saw my bike.

 

At around 1.30am, I started reading all my letters and one of them is the LTA inspection letter. Since it was the first time I received it, I seek the help of you guys at this forum and wanted to read your replies when I woke up. After I'm done with my typing, I went to sleep.

 

At noon, I woke up. As usual, I will look up of the window to see my bike but guess what! My bike wasn't there where I last saw! I tried not to panic. Went down to look for my bike but to no avail! I asked the apartment's security guard but that idiot doesn't understand a single word coming out of my mouth! I realized he wasn't a local there! A Bangladeshi if I'm not wrong! I demanded to see the apartment's manager and the Bangla told me to go to the office.

 

Once in the office, I asked for the manager but the staff said he just went off and asked what happened. I told them my bike was stolen! She said I wasn't the only one who got my bike stolen! There was another person who got his bike stolen and another one got his van stolen! When the manager came back, he told me two of the security guards went missing after the theft and couldn't get them! He advised me to lodge a police report.

 

I had to call my parents who were at my aunt's place to come back because the police post is quite a distance away! While waiting for them to come back, I finally took a bath and got ready. When my parents were back, they told me to eat something but I was too angry and sad at the same time to eat! After much persuasion, I just ate a slice of Roti John. I called my insurance company to lodge a report and they told me to call MARS. I was told to make police reports in SG and JB and then meet their officers in SG the following day. When all that was done, my dad quickly drove me to the nearest police station. A police report was lodge and the policeman told me to go to their HQ to give a statement to their IO. After all that is done, we went back to our apartment to leave my dad's M'sian car there and took a cab to JB customs and then a bus to cross the Causeway. A Singapore police report is lodged at the nearest Marsiling police post. We had to sleep at a hotel in Geylang for one night before going to MARS at Ubi Ave 3 to report the incident on behalf of my insurance company the next day. After all that, we headed to Changi to sleep at my brother's place for one night.

 

I wasn't optimistic about getting back my bike because I heard stories of syndicates there stripping your bike naked and disposing the chassis in forests or rivers. Even if you can find it back, it will be reduced to just the chassis. Furthermore, the police there just can't be bothered. My parents and I have already planned to just get me a new bike.

 

After one night at my brother's place, on the morning of 4th March, I received a call from the JB police saying they found my stolen bike at Kempas! I was in a great disbelief but I was so grateful to them and heaved a huge sigh of relief! I was told to take a look at the bike the next day because my IO will have to attend a case in court. That afternoon, my parents and I headed back to our JB apartment.

 

The next morning, my parents, my uncle and I went to their HQ to see my IO and later on to Kempas police station where my bike was kept. Once I saw my bike, it was such in a pitiful state but I was glad my Yoshimura Titanium Round Cone exhaust pipe was still intact! My side mirrors, front sticker plate number and box were gone. The rear metal plate number was slightly bent outwards. The worst damages were the alignment was out and the cover set near the around ignition hole cover were badly tampered! The key hole was so badly damaged that my key couldn't be inserted! I was lucky my uncle was there. He called for his mechanic to tow the bike and do minor repairs at his shop. I told them to just do the alignment and make a new ignition set. When all was done, I quickly headed back home to continue packing my stuffs for my Bangkok trip. My flight was at 7.10pm at Changi T1! And I had promised to meet my friends there at 5pm!

 

Anyway after I'm back from my Bangkok trip this morning, I told my parents I want to collect my bike and asked them to call my uncle. I'm glad my bike is able to move again. Now, I had to settle other stuffs like box, side mirrors, front plate number, rear plate number, new cover set, new set of tires, 2 way alarm system, motorcycle cover note, road tax, pipe certs, tools and others. I'm having a headache already! Hahahaha!

agree bro, this is the best way to me as well, bikeshop usually have ways around thing, at most they borrow ur bike another set of stock stuff and will change back after inspection.

 

another way to me is go to S.M ... idk why but i always clear there, hahas...

other then illegal exhaust thats too obvious, they will tell u this cannot that one cannot, just talk ur way out.

Yeah.. but in my opinion, if you know ur bike will fail during inspection then go bikeshop do. For example if your bike only got racing footrest, n u cant find a spare stock then, u could test ur luck. But if ur using r6 sharp tail, no mugguard, then i suggest u go straight bike shop. Hahahaha..

But talking abt r6 tail, fooh.. fierce.. hahaha

try Khaki Bukit Vicom. i went there with my one-eyed headlight and still managed to pass

Yeap it was the 1st Gen yoshi titan blue round cone. Installed in back in Dec 2009 when it was still not legal for X1-R. Hahahaha! It was the most precious thing on my bike to date!

If you need to go JB, just go to bike shops to do your stuffs, top up your petrol tank or go for a bike wash. If you need to go makan, make sure it is parked right in front of you. If you need to do shopping, better not ride there. It may not only get stolen, but some irresponsible ******* might plant drugs in your bike to be smuggled to SG!
