Sparks owners out there... how much is a brand new spark... and get from who?

around 2nd hand and good cond spark around how much arh???

 

depend on the shop how much they wan to "chop" u..

 

my fren bought 2nd hand, mileage 12000km, FBB plate, with interest, insurance on the road $4500.

From my spark plug. it shows lean even when 2 half turn from my af screw. cant seem to get a nice tan colour on my plug that is why intending to up my jets. but im not sure to what size. So if anyone had done it, it could be really helpful. thx bros

 

looks like u turn the airscrew too much.. try not to open too much first..

it should be not far from 1-5/8 turns.

 

if too much, the air ratio will be richer, which causing the mixture become lean, and u can see the plug head near to white.

if too less, fuel ratio will be richer than air, thus u can see the plug head become black.

 

if only changing exhaust pipe, usually play with airscrew is good enough.

1-5/8 turns is stock as stated in the service manual.. set it to stock and ride with that setting for a day and then check your plug.. before you turn the screw to adjust, do ride your bike for around 5 - 10 mins..

thx for the tips bro...but from my understanding, turning more than 1-5/8 would be richer (more fuel). cause with my specs, when i use standard settings the plug seems to be very lean ( white )...now i tune it to 2 1/4, its better but the plug are not tan enough.

 

with snorkel open and gpr pipe (no silencer), more air is rushing in thus the turns need to be more...but with stock jets i cant seem to get more out of it.hmmm..

what do you mean by that highlighted in red?

 

if you open more, means the air proportion is becoming more compare to the fuel, hence the mixture become lean (less petrol).

so what you need to do is, try to turn it about 1.5 turn.

but again you have to listen to the sound until reach to the peak.

 

i believe your bike will be more responsive than now.

 

hey bros. 70/90 tyres normally pump to what psi uh?

 

front = 29psi & rear = 33psi

 

i think this guidelines is applicable for all size of tyres.. cmiiw..

hmmm....when u change ur filter to a better one or u open u snorkel or even when u take out the filter and the snorkel plus a better free flow pipe, more air is rushed in thus ur screw needs to be richer to compliment that high flow of air with more amount of fuel for a perfect mixture.

 

with that perfect mixture, u could squeeze in some more extra hp and fc.

 

that is why sometimes we need to reject our kit cause the air screw mostly control 1/3 of our throttle.

hmmm...conter clockwise is to richen the air ( leaner ), anti clockwise is to richen the fuel ( richer ) for 4 stroke carbs. where 2 stroke carbs are the opposite..

in front of old supremen court...along padang... before that got bend coming from fullerton... 2 or 3 bend...so i play corner ah.... go low already den see police car...suddenly become good boy...

ur fren will know how to corner soon enough and he will corner much better =P

 

so far 2b bike i feel sp has the most stable cornering liao =P
