never ever tail gate cars. ride fast. do crazy stuff on road. especially on wet weather. had my fair share of accidents back when i was still deliverin pizzas. now. i got a loose right knee. you can go ahead and do it ah. im not stopping, but you must be confident of yourself and your ride. whatever happens... deal with it. your actions are based on your own judgements. remember. for every action there is a reaction.

Thrash? Don't mind if i do.

Earlier u mentioned:-

"actually would want my bike to look good and also pick up and cornering, smooth rather than jerky."

if thats really the case, then:-

Look good:- play with ur outlook (eg, paintwork, accessories)

pick-up:- simplest way to do that, is to play ard with ur sprockets. further add-ons would be, cams etc...

cornering:- sprockets & tyres would play a part to power & precision of cornering

if bike too jerky:- can change rear shock absorbers to aftermarket (eg, YSS & GAZI), lowered front fork & maybe install fork-brace..

p.s:- im not an expert, just my thoughts, if there are others with better knowledge out there, perhaps they can explain better

Thx alot! :) but would like to know wat u mean by cams n etc? N oso fork brace?

Had an accident yesterday around 6pm plus at AYE clementi area, road was wet, squeezing as per normal between 1st and 2nd lane, suddenly one car changed lane no signal, i braked, slowly increasing the pressure of both brakes, skidded, open up and braked again, front brakes locked and *bang*

i was on the road, fell palms first, didnt hit any car (heng ah).. Got up pushed my bike to the right side of the 1st lane (fukk the other vehicles), checked my bike, mirrors went loose, left foot rest went in, side and main stand abit out of position, handlebar alignment abit out:cry: .. Injured my left palm (got like 2 bullet holes) and my right lower leg (patch of skin gone cause i think hit the tire), no choice started the engine (again heng uh can start) and moved off..

Went to the bike shop just now, repaired and tightened up everything, charged me $35.. Oh and shifted my iu unit to the right, woo hoo no more gantry problems (thanks rocksteady)! Went to HKL to ask about tires, Bridgestone Battlax BT39 $180, Dunlop TT900 Thai $95, price includes workmanship and for both front and back tires together.. No money, went home.. haizzzzz.. So i learned that on wet days, following distance should be greater and take your time to reach the destination cause safety comes first:thumb: ok guys, wanna sleep now, too tired..

hope you are okay bro. your bike still new leis. wah, heart pain. you just started riding on the road on your own, probably still not very steady. must be many many times more careful bro. ride safe. cheers.

Dear spark riders,

would like to ask what will happen to my spark or rather what will improve or deprove if i change to parts like fast throttle, racing carb, racing cdi, piston, block, fork (down fork), rear suspension, bigger sprocket, bigger front disc brake and rear.

actually would want my bike to look good and also pick up and cornering, smooth rather than jerky.

thanks if you guys can give me suggestions and pointers. what are the pros and cons. =D

Ride safely !!!

wa, this one best..solve my problem, coz everytime i corner on my left, i would scrap the long rod that is fore changing gears....coz the screw connecting the rod and the gear is kinda too low...

oh no...less than 48 hours more till enlisting...

is there anything i should do to the bike before i leave for 2 weeks?

coz i was planning to pass the key to a neighbour to warm up a few times when im not around..

or is it safe, as itll only be for 2 weeks...

Aiyah no problem la. It's only 2 weeks. Just cover ur bike and before u do that lightly oil all the screws and the parts that can potentially rust. I use singer oil. just one drop on each screw. Can use WD40 also. If u really worried and u got nothing to do den can disconnect the fuel line from the carb. Whahaa.

Been wanting to know, what happens if our bikes front fork is lowered? As in the advantages and disadvantages.. Same goes for the rear suspension..

im not an expert on technical terms, not really sure how to explain..

but from my understanding:-

Lowered front fork:- COG (Center-of-gravity) will be lowered, thus providing a better stability/handling of bike & also not forgetting the cut through air design of lowered front fork.

rear suspension:- the lower it is, the lower the COG gets, but rear suspension setting is normally based on the riders, riding style & bike set-up. Depends on set-up for track use or normal riding use, taking into consideration the softness/hardness of the suspension. depends on rider as in liking the compression of the spring, softness/hardness. For serious riders, track use, body weight of rider will be taken into consideration for setting of rear suspension.

2004 :- Class 2B ~ Yamaha TZM (2004-2005)

2005 :- Class 2A ~ Yamaha X-1 (2005-current)

2007 :- Class 2 ~ Yamaha X-1 (2005-May2008)

Yamaha R1 (03) (2007-2007)

2008 :- current ride ~ Spark 135 & Yamaha R1(05)

hello. i'm new to this thread, and i need you guys help.

guys, i have a major problem with my spark. i'm not sure what really went wrong. probably the piston or the gearbox is faulty.

1. my bike cant start, there's no compression when i kick start (piston seize/jam?)

2. i tried to push start, went to gear 1, and i can still push my bike, meaning that it's free-wheeling (gearbox?)

3. my cluth doesnt feel the same (clutch cable/spring?)

and my mistake was that, i did a burnout during an escort. it stopped half way, and my bike gave the problems, was wondering if anyone had this problems before.?

did i see you at ah ben's birthday bbq that day bro? the words in your sig, familiar ah.
