mdarto. i stumbled upon some eye-catching news when i was at Wingyap AMK. pasted on their walls, in "one-corner".

Spark/ X1R Engine Upgrades:

- upgrade to 150cc Original Yamaha Diasil Block = SGD700

- upgrade to 150cc Original Yamaha Diasil Block + Exhaust Modification = SGD800

- upgrade to 150cc Original Yamaha Diasil Block + Hi-Cam + (i forgot liao) = SGD1200

................................................. what say you?

LOL!

I will not be going there for them to do my engine overhual. I'm planning to ship in the vixion 150cc tuned up kit from the T135 forum and get AK motorsports or my own mechanic to do it for me.

I will not depend on WingYap unless tonight i strike 4D 1st price.

Hi Bros

I just got my spark today...

i have some questions, sorry dun mind asking..

1) if i change my stock footrest to racing ones, can i also change the gear system like normal bikes? up for gear up, down for gear down.

if can, can recommend a good brand and perhaps a good place to do so? with a price quote?

sorry i know this question been asked before, just cannot find it la..

To change back to the normal gearing like other bikes is immpossible unless you go change your gearbox to X1R.

The next best thing that you could do is to invert the gearbox to make kick up, up gear and kick down, down gear. Just tell the mech and they can invert it for you.

If you want good quality footrest i suggest you get the pop tananoi footrest but be prepared to pay for the quality. It can be found at B Plus, price wise its better to go down personally to ask.

Hope my information is useful to you. =)

thanks for the info bro.:thumb:

but will it be more susceptible to skidding during wet rainy days? the disc brake will lock easier right?

its POP TALADNOI. haha. quality guaranteeed. geariing wise up or down, it all depends on that bracket at your gear la. either its up or down. either ways, you'll get used to it pretty soon enuff.

r6 tail light ah? bro rocksteady used to have that on his bike. you need to send your sidepanels for moulding and fix the tail light. problem is there isn't much clearance left after everythings fixed. so the decision is yours man.

regarding engine and vixion kit... best is get everything yourself and go to your trusted mechanic to get it all fixed. hmm, wonder if anyone mod their engine exceeding 200cc before? i would definitely wanna meet you up and talk and talk and talk HAHA

Thrash? Don't mind if i do.

Nope, it depends on how you control the brakes. Your rear drum brake will also lock if you jam hard suddenly. =) Trust me, rear disc brakes are better then drums. If its the skidding that you worry about, look at those class 2A and 2 bikes. They wouldnt be using rear disc brake if its more prone to skidding due to rear brake lock. =)

i got questions to ask..... does anybody know how to get r6 tail light and install onto x1-r? wad should i get to install the r6 tail light?

R6 tailight can buy from motoworld. Then you will have to send your bike to First Motors to do custom moulding of your rear. If you want your rear to be as jack and sharp like those minahs, then you must cut the frame at the back to achieve that. If you dont cut, your rear would not be as jack and sharp like those minahs. It will look like one big slab of fats. =)

Haha, more than 200cc. If you can find a person who did that, i also want to go and meet the rider. Would be super interested to test the bike. :cheeky:

Nope. It cant be set that way if you only change footrest. It can only change reverse the tapping of the gears. Like kick up is up gear and kick down is down gear.

It will still be 1,2,3,4,N NOT 1,N,2,3,4

If you want 1,N,2,3,4 you must change to X1R gearbox. =)

No problem. =)

Rear disc brake setup will set you back quite abit cause you got to change the rims and the footrest. Estimated price around 600-700. Not really sure about the exact price. Different shops different price. I did mine at $580 (Rims, Racing Footrest, Rear Brake Setup). Anywhere that got service cubs would be fine but if you got cash, can try WINGYAP! =) HAHAHA!

lols.. then no purpose to change liao..

i prefer the original tapping down gear ratio.. even race bikes also use the tapping down config. coz faster to tap down...:thumb:

only thought of changing so that during 2A wont kick wrong gear all the time...

so for x1r the stock gearing is 1,N,2,3,4 ah? interesting.. luckily i bought spark.. lol.. the current 1,2,3,4,N is still the most comfortable for me.. =)

rim also must change ah? mine is already racing rims leh.. not the spoked one..

u mean if i use rear disc brake config, i have to change to racing footrest?

cannot retain my original stock footrest ah? i like to tap down gear using the rear tapper very much leh.. if use racing foot rest cannot tap down so smoothly liaoz..:pity:

lol.. i juz did my DID chain at wingyap today.. change EO,filter plus chain = $75.. think i become big carrot liao..

yeah rims must change. your rims are meant for drum brakes. so the hub is different for disc brake. i've seen people with standard footrest and disc brake. but thats what most people change to disc for. so that you can brake better with your racing footrest. well... thats the price you pay for D.I.D thats why expensive.

Thrash? Don't mind if i do.
