hey all!

 

i'm currently looking a t an x1... but the air filter has been removed as owner say it allows for better air intake but he had self-made cover to prevent water entry...

 

any effects?

 

i dont really noe abt x1...

 

doesnt matter if the original airbox is still in it...

but if its the whole box that is being removed then mayb u gotto wash the carb more often as water n sand particles will get into the carb then slowly ur engine will be gone...

 

ask someone who REALLY knows about bike to acc u to view the bike n test ride the bike...knows the condition of the engine n framework....the number of owners,the engine sounds,any modification to the engine n exhaust etc etc , are things to lookout for..a second hand bike is a second hand bike...small problem is better than big problem...

 

what u pay is what u gets...

yea i went to view the 1.5k alr... but fully stock one. the 1.7k one i'm seeing has some accs, sports rim etc...... stated above.

 

so what do you think??

based on what u stae i guess 1.7k is ok lah.. gt oversized disc brake and carbon parts.. sport rims dats good... new tyres etc.. well guess only left engine lor...

 

hmm hw to help ah? hmm u said u tested alr ba.. if handling all ok dat settles one aspect nxt is engine lor.. a "bad" engine wld give out obvious sounds like cracking etc.. if it sounds good err haha i really dunno how to explain haha...

 

where the owner stay?

lol.. view bike ar, i also ask friend to help me view my x1 de also.. haha... i jus ask him check the engine, see got mod anot. the rest is jus look look, brake pad, brake disc all this lor..

 

should be alright ba... y not organise all of us go view tgt =X haha... qiang and eugene sure can help alot :) hahaha... provided they are free to go..

 

if abit urgent i can try ask my friend to go with me to view that bike... i believe most important engine ok can le.. the rest wan change/repair wun be that exp :)

few things wanna check when buying bike is, ask and see if the bike got accident before or not?

check the stabilization of the steering cone... make sure engine dont have 'tak-tak' sound.

Any kind soul from the east willing to spend a lil' time to diagnose my bike? I have no idea if my timing is low or not.
