My choke doesn't seem to work. Last time i go service carb and retune it before but seems to happen even then. The mechanic also said my choke screw broke. Replaced it but choke like no diff when I pull it so I depend on throttle instead haha.

 

There was once i start engine multiple times and it died everytime I let go throttle. So I just drained the fuel from carb (as taught by mechanic) and after that it started easily. It's also easier to warm up if I take out air filter.

 

Nowadays feel quite ok.. just have to ensure bike warm up at least 2-3mins. Might go carb servicing again if gets too bad.

in need of a good cond. front brake disc.. anyone has spare?

hv you tried asking LAB for a heavy duty brake disc? i heard its quite expensive to buy a new brake disc.. abt $100 if im not wrong..

it used to happen on my bike when i pull the throttle all the way for awhile (ard 110km/h) and when i slow down and change gear,, BANG!!! but mine only bang one time la.. dun hv the bang bang bang... hahaha..

very true indeed... very messy... anyway, since you hv been talking abt the racing footrest, y dun u jus buy and try.. maybe you will like it.. and if not, you can always sell it to another x1 rider.. just my three cents bro...

When i wash my carb, the mech said my choke screw missing.. can still use choke but after awhile it will run off.. so I ask him to buy for me.. everything is ok but still it will backfire ....

i used to hv this problem.. morning start must switch on choke for 3-5min.. how to know if bike is ready to move off? i jus pull the throttle slowly to see if the engine reacts according to my throttle if not then its not ready to move off.. I told my mech abt it and he asked me to send for "camvlar".. i dun understand what he is saying but he told me that it has got to do with the cleaning some internal engine parts...

 

and after the srvicing of my carb.. i notice white smoke coming from my bike and all the mechs i met say "bro, must overhaul"... i did my top overhaul for $40 (labour) + $90 (bought the piston, piston ring, block and overhaul kit myself) = $130.. most shops quoted me between $150 - $200.. and after everything that i hv done.. NO MORE BANG BANG BANG BANG!!!! i think while my mech did my top overhaul, he must hv cleaned off the "camvlar" thing..

Condition as gd as new(taken out when bike is bought brand new)..

i think what he meant was the pillion HANDLE at the tail of the bike.. if you have a top box, you cannot put the pillion handle..

by the way, most cubs use same front disc is it?for eg. spark, xir, wave..??
