I finally sold my bike today le (: it has been great riding x1.. next change will be fazer 1 in a year's time after my ns le.

my bike keeps emitting white smoke frm exhaust.. what does that mean? and what do i have to do?

 

it means ur block got some scratches.. if you let be, your piston might get jammed.. to avoid this from happening.. you can either rebore your engine for abt $130.. of you can do a top overhaul (change block, piston, piston ring and top overhaul gaskets) for abt $180..

 

But if you want to save money, you can buy the parts yourself from agent and ask any bike shops that you like to fix for you. Labour should range between $30 to $50.. Parts should be less than $100...

I was riding near bbatok just now and a fellow rider told me my bike is emitting white smoke as well. any experienced riders here can guide me on this? Is it because it's time to change engine oil? or some other problem as well? thanks for reading:)

my fren says it cud be becuz of loose piston ring dats y the eo seeps into the chamber thus burning it and producing white smoke.. bt can be cuz of other reasons too.. isit possible to just change the ring then? or do i have to top overhaul it? and wat does it mean by rebore?

in order to change the ring, you will need to remove the block then the piston.. that is considered top-overhaul.. but why change the ring only when you hv already open up the engine.. to answer your question, yes it is possible.. like i said, labour is ard $40.. ring should be $10.. but what happens when the mech check your block and he say your block is scratched already?? my best is advise to do top overhaul.. once done, you dun hv to scratch your head anymore..

if change gasket only can go JB cheaper.. i usually go to Bikewerks (Ah Beng) or M1 Motoring (Ah Yee)

Hi guys, me tot of getting a X1 for transportation. Those 2015/2016 COE...But me super long never ride bike liao since 2005... So abit rusty on some info...

 

1) X1 crusing speed is 80-90km/hr? can hit 100km/hr? Stock condition...

2) i am 31 yrs old liao, with 12 yrs exp on Class,2b,2a,2,3... How much is the insurance without NCD?

3) Direct owner sales, i just need a the insurance cover letter, my I/C and go with the owner to do the transport?

2. pillion handle bar...the thing that you remove when you install box..

2) 3rd Party only $300++

3) Yupz.. must bring your driving license just in case..

I called chartics, they qoute mi $214(3rd party) $265(3rd party + fire&theft) NTUC slighty higher. Insurance lower cos my age just nice 31 yrs old.

 

Btw, the gear change is e same as normal bike.? As in kick up is up gear, tap down for down gear? Cos my fre wave is the other way rd.

gear e same, first time i ride kena culture shock.. cant find 5 & 6 gear.. lol

 

premium also depends on job scope, indoor/outdoor/extreme stunt man? hehe

me ntuc tpft now $200+, didnt check with others.. my old 125cc was only $100+ wth!

 

do you have any other personal accident policy?

i been looking to insure my hands(so can learn play guitar/make kueh raya..) but last time no have..

so when offered this time around i took up their personal accident policy for $80+(discounted rate?)

 

not sure abt their claims efficiency(touchwood) hopefully dont have to use it la..

if their premium cost not that much higher, maybe worth considering..
