For those who dont like to go certain bikeshop in Singapore due to a reason or incident. Please stated below yr incident. Please do share yr story..Please take note: No vulgar ..

fuwah... this is one hidden timebomb leh... very sensitive topic neh... later those ppl that post kena write apology letter...

 

You are correct.

 

Too many cases before.. kena shop's lawyer letter then come back here and do public apology because they will take it as a case of defaming or slandering against them.

 

Better to take the grievances to CASE and let them handle these recalcitrant shops unless you also got lawyer too.

 

Just my personal opinion only.

In this forum, we share a bit experience. So other will know..example like i kena few days ago..true life sad experience

 

Depo lane bikeshop:

They fixing my Fast trottle cable..ended damage it..the trottle & the cable..including my fairing...

 

Ended..no apology from the shop..

 

100% heart pain..so how to explain like dat??...u spend yr money & someone else damaged it..

 

the truth is out there..wre is the customer right???

Best is to trust the Mec who bn doin bikes for yrs..

i dont wanna say...best is to get the senior mec to do it...waste of money..i have to go to another bikeshop to redo it nicely...Well we paid them to do best job..but ended.....haiz...CUSTOMER RIGHT???...they want to compensate by givin a new fast trottle(made by them & mine from HONDA HRC from Japan Race Factory)..so which 1 u wanna used?? Of couse the HRC..rite..

I think this Thread is still justifiable, it shares the possibility of good and bad of a shop..maybe can like create a rule somehow like no mentioning of the bikeshop name or those who wants to know the name can PM each other...

 

Just my opinion as i think this is one of the best ways to prevent some dishonesty, miscommunications, cheat and stuff like that...:cheeky:

I think so longs names or slanders are not involved, it should be OK.

 

I don't like shops who use hidden charges or charge their customers with sums for their own mistakes.

Yes TS, I know you meant well. But as Raptor mentioned, too many cases have happened before.

 

Of course, it is good to share experiences among us bikers. But this is a public forum and what we perceive as "common sense" might not be so as interpreted by others (read: bike shop lawyers).

 

Oh well, for those who want to post anything against any shop, please keep that in mind, and tread gingerly on the fine line.

what may be common knowledge amongst the old hands at biking might just prevent a noob having a bad experience.

 

posting experiences that have not been substantively verified can, and probably will, draw the attention of disgruntled shopowners and then their lawyers. this is good for it stops anti-competitive behaviour by deterring the use of underhanded tactics in a market, which in turns allows it to function properly and benefit consumers.

 

what if such knowledge and experience was already within the public domain? if anyone here has brought a case, and won, and subsequently the judgment/decision was published as legal precedent, then it would be freely accessible.

I send my bike to another shop,...&.....Fix the simple problemmmm...money again come out..but worth it...
