Yes, road tax and insurance all the same. Only fuel consumption some not same like me. Most other 300 can hit from anywhere from 27km/l to 36km/l.

That is the problem. My YBR only giving me only 36+km/l. I weigh 100kg ++ with my box, bag and all that crap. Still give me same fuel consumption as the 300i. I might as well get the 300i la sia...

I got the DT125i cos I no 2A license. Only 2B for now.

But in your case, then yes. Just get the DT300i.

Saw another uncle riding DT300i at the junction near my house =D Shiok!!! Same color somemore, but is DT300i.

What colour is it? How much you bought your 125i?

How come your insurance so expensive? How old are you? What is your fuel consumption?

I was 18 when the bike was registered. Now still 18 actually, turning 19 in Apr.

My fuel consumption 30.5km/L on soft compound Metzeler tires. Standard Maxxis tires, I could get 35.5km/L.

Please note that you may not get up to 36km/l.

I am 80kg and can only get 25km/l constantly.

If 2 up and top speed 50% in Malaysia I can only get 21km/l.

Saw a Kymco People S 200 (170cc engine) at the workshop just now. Looks pretty nice!!

If I remembered correctly, it was a FBD or FBE plate. Haha.

@parotae, Stop riding like Valentino Rossi and you will start noticing better FC :cheeky:

Don't think the problem is with riding fast. Haha.

For me, yes. I ride slightly faster, so fuel consumption 30.5km/L. If i ride normally (with the speed limit), should be able to get 5km/L more, or 35.5km/L.

I've asked two fellow DT125i rider, they ride according to the speed limit, and they're getting more than 40km/L, as they're on stock tires. Haha!!

Fuel tank capacity of 12.5L (they pump 10L each time, travel slightly more than 400km).

By the way for Juanpauk, what I'm getting is 85.8MPG = 30.5km/L.

40km/L = 112.5MPG

Wah the mechanic very fierce in claiming T-max no fight with Myroad 700i - well, in the area of comfort, fuel consumption and machine price maybe.

Performance wise, T-max should be the better.

Realistically, Myroad fully stock I read from the net is 170km/h.

Doremi will be the better person to confirm Myroad performance.

Like he says, you get what you paid for.

Beside you get ABS as standard on Myroad.

Nope,no Valentino Rossi here lol.

Don't think the sbs rear is the correct one.

My research for a few brand of pads here.

Thread#1850

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php/308684-SBF-Kymco-Downtown-125i-300i/page37

The pads should be 204 for the rear.

The downtown pads for the rear is a one off pads that no others bikes are using except for 1 Benelli touring spec small small scooter.

Performance maybe on par...But handling there's where the tmax shines.....

If you want road presence and storage, get the MyRoad 700i.

If you want handling (nimble & light, and slightly smaller size), get the T-Max 530. Haha!!

What squeaking sound again??

Is it the sound like air being let out from the tire?? I do have this sound. Occurs after a 30mins ride. Haha.

Wah fuel so good now.

Mine blinking 1 bar is at 250km.

If 2 bar is at 200km.

Bye bye wee keong, our scoot fuel consumption no more the same

But it's good to know that your Downtown don't have the high fuel problem after the run-in :thumb:

Whats your mileage now? 8th tank should be around 2000km if 250km/tank.

Mine is ~6000km now

The squeaky noise may stop if you can spray on the sidestand/fullstand spring with white grease like juanpauk suggested, if not WD40 or any lubricating oil you can get your hands on.

Stop torturing yourself, yes it got on my nerves too :D

Always wear at least a pair of jeans when getting on a motorcycle/scooter.

Gloves, shoes and jeans a must at the minimum.

See the boyfriend know how to dress but girl friend nevermind. Maybe the girl want some tatoo all over her knees and ankels?

Yeah. Wherever there's a corner, pls slow down. Haha

But I figured out by leaning my body a little out, I dont have to tilt the bike so much into a corner. Haha! Surprising =D

Went to pump petrol ytd, 300km still 2 bars left (usually at 2 bars its 280km). Strange. Pumped 4.6L, the pump clicked. i reckon at most its another 4L till full tank which means..... Excellent fuel economy!!! Haha.

no. im not going to do it myself. MS must do it!

parotae, yea my milage now is around the 2000 range. i ride 80% on high way. This tank i mixed shell and caltex. dont know if thats the reason. my riding pattern also count i guess. i rode 80km/h most of the time at a rpm of 5k. My technic is to twist more and let the bike accelerate untill it hits 80, then untwist a bit to hit the "optimist" fuel consumption. (this usually is around the 5k RPM zone. Hope this helps.

PS: sqeaky sound still pissing me off!!!!
