bro.... can share the price tag on this one?? thanks.

Just gotten a 6 month old Kymco Like over the weekend. Its my 1st bike after obtaining 2B 2 weeks ago.

Goto admit, the bike is very zippy and responsive compared to the BBDC bikes. (hahahaha).

Previous owner took care of the bike, but I have to replace 1 mirror (as its missing) and possibly the seat (tear covered up by superglue). Any idea how much is this going to costs and where also?

Any other advice for newbies? Thinking of putting stickers of my white Like too.

Just changed my belt, roller and U-shoe (24,600km) last night for today's Desaru ride.

As the belt have some slight crack and some frayed fibre after i poke poke with a twig, i decided to replace it for safety sake.

Wow! What a big difference!

Cruising RPM drop by ~400.

100km/h use to be 5900-6100rpm

now 100km/h at 5300-5600rpm.

Very obvious!

For those 300i owners who are told belt can last between 30,000km-40,000km, please consider to change it if you feel a drop in performance.

Owner's manual stated belt change at 20,000km.

Guess What!!!

My usual Fuel consumption from new until yesterday was 25km/L constantly(with or without pillion).

Today my fuel consumption is...........

29km/L!!!

Not a significant figure to some but it's a bloody big difference to me.

Wow..... Good for you!! Guess ill be changing at 20000km too. Now still 15000km

How much was the replacement at MS?

If you need a transport urgently, get dt200 and forget about 2A.

If you can wait, get your 2A and get dt300.

Price not much different. Getting a 300 will be much more better.

Ok, let me take a stab at it.

1.Price : 7K plus, when I bought it in the last week of Dec 2011

2.Power : 163 cc air cooled engine. My other ride is a Phantom TA 200, so really cannot compare. I have never ridden a scooter before. I am not a hard rider but I notice that it accelerates very quickly from 0 to 40. Then it pulls

up rather quickly upto to 60. The acceleration from 60 to 80 is a bit slower. I am still breaking in, so have not touched max speeds. I have read that it can do 110 km/hr.

The power is good enough for city riding in my opinion. The disc brakes are really good with lots of stopping power. Of course it is not the fastest bike in its category. The Kymco Downtown 125 is probably a little more powerful if you look at the specs as it has a water cooled engine. But then, I am told that a forced air cooling on a scooter means lesser maintenance.

3.Fuel consumption : So far the scoot is giving me 30 km / l but I am still running in (only 350 km so far). Will update once I finish 3 services.

4.weight : about 110 kg

5.Fuel capacity: 6 litres

6.Comes with what accessories: Came with a colored box and Chrome skirting.

7.Maintenance cost: I am told that maintenance is less as the engine is fuel injected and air cooled. Will update this as the bike ages!

8.Handling : The bike feels very agile, but then I was riding a Phantom before so cant really compare. It has a very small turning radius. But smaller 12 inch scooter wheels means it cant soak up the bumps like my Phantom. Bro parotae thinks that this is normal scooter behavior and asked me to adjust the dual rear shocks to their lowest position when I go for my first service. Will update once I do this.

9.top speed : 110 I am told but never done it.

I bought this as my commute to work bike (2 km either way) as I wanted a convenient twist and go machine to ride to work in the heavy traffic. So the mileage on my Like 200i is still rather low as I am not a heavy user. So far I am quite pleased with the looks ( my bike gets stares from other riders and drivers whenever I stop at a traffic light). The acceleration is decent in its category and it is really a fun scooter to ride on a daily basis. It is not a very powerful bike, but then if I wanted power I would rather go in for a motorcycle and not a scooter.I will report on the performance and maintenance as I finish my first 3 services. I have ridden it a few times in light to moderate rain and it seems to feel quite stable with its disc brakes.

My weekend bike is my trusted old Phantom (8 years old and still good).

Wow.. that's very good mileage u have there...

Heard that there will be a rack coming in soon for Xciting 400...

According to Herbert the accessories should come together with the next shipment of new Xciting 400. Just keep you hands cross.
