No not at all. It's just a longer steps and a troublesome one. See what extend you willing to make it more fuel saving.

I just change back to LGE5. Gonna pillion, so need the power.

Yes, let's go down to his place and drink his popular coffee.

Ehh I posted the milage a page or 2 back...

Its abt 26.something km/l up and 25.9km/l down

Now milage better but got tt irritating sound.. And I donno if I shld be worried... Donno if I can go down today ant... Shag like crazy...

If my guess is right, you haven't change oil. Change oil first. Then the sound should be lesser but consumption maybe back to 20km/l :p

What is more interesting is that I am able to get better FC when travelling long distances even with a pillion + 46l top box full + tunnel bag full + underseat compartment full.

I can go from 22 km/l going most of the time by myself very light in weight (my 75kg + 10kg of bits an pieces) however with quite a bit of traffic to 24.5 km/l on long journeys fully loaded.

That's because the LGE5 is running around 5500rpm around 60km/h to 80km/h.

LEA7 will ne running 4500rpm around 80km/h.

When both model is at 100km/h the difference is only 500rpm.

LGE5@6000rpm, LEA7@5500rpm. Hence the better fuel consumption at higher speed.

Just to share:

Managed to see the new T-Max 530 today.

Hmm.... $21.2k and $22.2k for ABS model. I guess people will still buy it for the speed, no matter how high the price.

What I like,

+ Narrow profile [5cm narrower than DT makes all the difference].

+ Quite nice looking rear profile [better than the predecessor]

- Underseat storage only can store my XL-full face helmet and that's about it. Haha. Maybe can squeeze in a set of raincoat.

- No rack for top box. It's at an extra cost.

- Dash plastic quality surprisingly crappy and fragile. Glovebox plastic quality nowhere near as solid as the DT/ Xciting. Plastics surrounding the speedo gives a hollow sound, not like the DT/ Xciting.

- Thanks to the wide engine, be prepared to open out your legs much wider than the already wide DT/ Xciting.

- Front headlights take getting used to.

- Rider's seating position is weird and if I were to lean my back against the backrest, it's difficult to reach the handlebar. Haha. So end up sit 3/4 back of the whole length of the rider's seat, which is uncomfy since there isn't any backrest.

- Short pillion seat length. DT is much more comfy.

- Needs a Class 2 license =(

Just sharing. Don't have to take my comments seriously, and it reflects my own opinion.

Who organise?? Haha.

My mileage now over 7100km, mileage since last oil change: 3050km.

I'll change at the 4000km mark thereabouts. The bike's starting to feel a little "draggy and heavy" now. Haha.

Hi there,

I got myself a Kymco Like 200i a couple of weeks back. So far I have not seen any Like riders on the road.

The Motorsports boss Herbert told me that he has sold quite a few in the last month, I hope I am not the only one riding this scooter :-)

I have posted in the Kymco Downtown thread before.... thought of starting this new thread so that it is more visible and fellow Like riders can share their experiences.

Yeah, if you look at it closely, it has design features of both Vespa and Lambretta. If Vespa and Lambretta married and had a child, then this would be it :-)

I have been getting some attention whenever I park the bike or stop at a traffic light.

But I haven't seen another one on the road yet.

What tire pressures do ur usually pump??

If the pressure is too high for me (29-30psi or 200-205kPa), the whole bike feels unsettled when it comes to the ride quality.

Quite irritating. Haha.

I usually pump now 29psi front and rear.

When raining, the front I'll reduce to 26psi front, 28 psi rear.

This I find is the best compromise.

Hi All!

I won't be able to make it for tonight's meetup.

Am down with flu and my whole body's aching now.

So sorry about that to those who still remember about today's meeting at Old Woodlands Interchange, from 7pm.

Till next time then.

at best 25km/l now...quite far cry from 30km/l claimed. usually travelling around 60-80km/h, RPM 5000-5500

Yup same as mine. If I ride hard occasionally is 23km/l.

Consistent 25km/l even with 2 up.
