So far we don't have that problem!

Adjust your clutch cable (adjuster nut) near the clutch lever- when was the last time you change the engine oil, maybe it's time to change.

Are you still interest to get the 900 ~ backoff is likely to sell off his bike with full of accessories which comes with it... it's worth to have a look at...!

Hi Bro SG,

Hope u guys wont mind being sifu to newbird like me.... this prob (hard to find neutral) usually only encounter when stuck for long period in jams, whereby i had to engage 1st gear, move off a bit; then engage neutral & wait to meove off...engage 1st gear, move off a bit)... felt that i have already engage neutral, but some how the green indicator doesnt light up  so dont know if anyone have this kind of prob too.... 900 diversion maybe not so soon to get, the insurance damn high for 25year old man :faint:

The simple carbon thingy cost about $100++ according to the mechanic that service my starter motor. He got it from HL. Don't mix and match with other brands of carbon brush...get the original from HL...it will save you a lot of time and trouble.

I agree, this carbon brush is damn ex... unfortunately, for the 600 quite hard to get, even HL dont have... dats my mech decided to mod a bit & use honda's carbon brush... so far haf a year using it, no prob...

Where is the starter motor located? I also wana knock knock see how leh.

Hi bro Cougar,

Knocking the starter motor may/may not help to start the bike... the mech at HL did the knocking after he tried to short the +ve & -ve terminal of the starter motor no cranking sound.... so maybe he suspect the starter motor, but surprisingly, after he knocked the starter motor lightly, bike was able to start and then he told me to bring my bike my regular mech to check the starter motor... guess that HL dont want waste their time on "extinct" bike like mine

Hi yob_rekib,

One of my friends recently got a 600 as well. From his comments, i reckon that he might need to do a top overhaul. Have you donw one of those?

Where do you usually go for service? Does HL have the experience/parrts for it?

Posted

Hi Bro jleo,

My Bike is '92 SECA II.... mine done overhaul, including piston changed. Actually, one of the piston rings gone + bottom part of the piston, somehow like "burnt". So my regular mech recommmended me do overhaul & thought of just changing the piston ring, but "claimed" that HL no piston ring, must order whole new piston set, needless to say, have to do rebore... after topoverhaul, feels that engine is smoother & responsive, but the bike become more thirsty... b4 overhaul... 20.5km/l after overhaul... 18-19km/l  done the overhaul & my regular servicing at Tampines... maybe can ask ur fren check with HL 1st... BTW, what probs ur fren haf wif his 600

Malsing is only good if you are using Mapsource.

But if you want to load maps from Mapcenter; http://mapcenter.cgpsmapper.com/ (maps from all over the world);

Thus ar the best software is img2gps . Do a net search for it, it's free.

  thank u very much palary, i have successfully loaded the thailand map into the GPS, but wat sort of software u are using to view & plan ur routes on the computer  As u noe Mapsource can't do it. And GPS screen so small & got little bit of delay when u scrolling, zooming. Hence planning the route by PC is easier. Pls advise

Hi Haroze,

Good to hear from you...and you are back after a long  computer break down! As for the tyre your are looking for touring type then go for the Bridgestone battalax BT45V series (touring tyre) quite reasonably priced. So far no problem no skidding during hard braking, cornering stable, dry and wet weather handles beautifully.

You can try BT020 (sports-touring tyre)- but the front tyre have this 'cupping' problem after 1yr of usage. I don't know about other (makes)bike having this or not but I noticed Diversion have this problem with BT020 front tyre.

Or you can try out Macadam 50E (58v) series as mention earlier.
