I got my FZ1S from Hong Leong Motor. Purchased in Jan 09. OTR at abt $20K. Add $1.7K for Yamaha panniers. Hong Leong Motor prices fluctuate. But it readily gives out their prices. For latest price and details, best ask from them.

Oh, if I did, maybe I mis-typed in my blog. I bought FZ1S from Hong Leong Motor. But I sold my previous STX to Looi's. Looi's don't have new FZ1. Mr Lee from Looi's explained to me Yamaha don't hold their bike prices. Fluctuate month to month. So very hard for resellers to make money. So if you looking for class2 Yams, probably you need to get from Hong Leong.

Yes, FZ1 is a hot bike (hot in the sense it is good looking) but if you are referring to hot as the bike is warm (due to engine heat) to ride :

I have owned several class2s from litre sports, previous fazer, to 1,300cc stx. And I have ridden several other class2s.

I wish to share that compared to other class2 bikes, it never occurred to me FZ1 as unusually warm bike to ride.

All class2 are warm to ride as you are sandwiching a big engine block in between your legs and below your jewel

If anything, the exposed engine area of the FZ1 only helps to diffuse heat dissipated more evenly. Some fully faired bikes unfortunately have engine heat being concentrated and vented out of a few pockets that direct straight into the riders' legs.

Yo man, you should check out the naked bike thread where its the HOME OF THE FAZERIANS!

Price wise should range about 13K+ till 17K+ (varies from shop to shop)

So far in the market you can find model like Fazer 6 S2/S or FZ6-N (without head cowl)

Fz1 is a good bike... Think its reliable too.... seen some post here in SBF where the bike completed the long trips with no issues...how cool is that. Go yami

After over 2 years, my FZ1 has zero problems so far. The only problem I have with FZ1 is that I am tempted by the VFR1200, but with the FZ1, I have zero excuse to change to the VFR1200 :(
