Best is to go touring...ride at 3/4 of your bike's rpm...Maybe ride to ayer hitam...Other way is to use chemical additive or cheapest way,use sodium hydroxide(drain cleaner),boil 1 kettle of hot water,pour in the exhaust header. Let it soak for 30mins...and flush with lots of water...

I put my bike to neutral.. once engine warm, i ram intermittently to red line and release throttle. SO it sounds like RAAAAAMmmmmmRRRRAAAAAAMMMMmmmmRRRRRAAAAAAAAmmmmm and you will notice alot of black smoke coming out, do until left white smoke...

 

Note: A bike that "eats" Engine oil will always leave carbon, you ram till tmr also won't clear all.... time for overhaul already...

 

Note2: I believe an engine is ment to work hard.. ram abit to red line shortly won't die lah.... don't mantain red line can already... siao ah that one.

how does the presence (or absence) of a load affect the carbon clearing technique that some of the bros here are talking abt?

got load no load is only a difference of whether the power is transferred via the clutch to the front sprocket and eventually to the rear wheel isnt it?

Dono.. i ram till black smoke no more is correct already... and it feels SLIGHTLY smoother. Or it may be all in the mind...

Ramming into the wall might help :p

 

I think best is to go Malaysia and clear all your carbon... Doing it in Singapore is a no no...

does full throttling in neutral does the same thing as well?

 

heart kinda pain to whack bike man . . . think i just send for a top service, power valve servicing once a while

i could walk to the Yishun coffee shops faster than putting on my gear and warming up engine :p

My fuel tank small liao not like last time YBR... no point for me to pump Abdullah Badawai petrol...

 

i thought cbr 150 tank is 10l? sure can save la if top up jb. back and fro will use only 1l or so.. then still got 9l of almost half price petrol.
