hi guys, need opinions on what do you all use to lacquer your bike fairings/coverset?

 

most ppl told me to just use clear spray paint, is there any alternatives?

most of the time if u diy it's clear coat spray..

 

u can buy brands like RJAY.. alternative? go shop ask them spray lacquer for u loh.. but no point dun waste $ haha.. the clear coat is good enough

but these tin can spray said to be prone of paint work cracking aft few mth due to expand n contract...so the say must use automotive..i also dunoe where to get

yup use automotive lacquer is much better and easier than rj..

need to use compressor and paint gun.

i dunno where to buy oso.. i juz use at my fren shop for free.. haha

ive used rjay lacquer on my kips few years back.. lasted abt 6-7 mths before signs of cracking.. come to think of it, okay for abt a $4 per can job(i used 2 1/2 cans only)... jus need a high level of patience bro.. :thumb:

i sprayed my hayabusa rear black ...

 

and guess wat ...

 

it start to bubble and it will leave a stain if you put like helmet on it ...

 

 

n i thought i could do a cheap alternative ...

 

instead now ... i have to resend my whole bike for a new paintjob ....

 

 

lesson learn ....

 

unless you have those air gun and compressor ..... dun diy ....
