Yes it can.

U turn on Wifi.

You can surf for free~

Dude...not liddat

Yes, WiFi is based on a free-for-all concept, but once he's out of the hotspot, he loses internet access

He's asking whether he can surf the net using his mobile carrier's wireless network using a prepaid card.

TS, my suggestion is to contact your carrier. Some carriers do not allow this and you have to have a fixed line to use their data services.

Based on the feedback from the recepient of my reply, my emoticon was removed: it had some negative frustration connotation

Com'on, can't blame me.. his question is so general.

Just like asking me .. can i eat apple in the kitchen ?

Yes you can eat..

but if u are working in a kitchen, strictly no food consumption.

But for a normal user.. will u go happily surf wireless with charges or surf for free?

No need to give me that (slapforehead) expression.

Ahem: He's not asking a general question, it's a specific one:

can i use a prepaid card to go online with an iphone

Because of the underlined...which is a paid service, the topic of free WiFi should be out of the question.

P.S.: I've removed the emoticon in light of this. I do apologize if you were shocked to see that :)
