Bro, if I may chip in with some tips;

 

Advisable to use full suit. Diadora boots no problem. Gloves just get any leather glove will do (as long as genuine leather and not PVC which look like leather). Quality equipment doesnt have to be too expensive; we're not GP riders.

 

Tracktyres - the latest race tyres for 2A bikes is the Dunlop Alpha10. and I really mean race tyres capable of doing below 1.50s which I did myself on nsr250. of course faster riders than me can go faster but slower riders would surely enjoy the grip. BUT be careful it's the ZR series, not the normal cheap R series. I.E. the front is 120/60ZR17 rear 150/60ZR17. NOT 120/60R17. Both tyres look exactly the same but difference is whole world apart. And of course race tyres abit more ex la ard $300plus or maybe even $400 per set (market price fluctuate). These tyres are amazing they grip better than GPR70SP and last longer; shows the latest tyre technology.

 

Other important things:

 

Check your coolant level before and after. To check AFTER, wait till bike cools down :sweat:

Check engine oil level before and after.

These are 2 very important things to look after when play track to preserve your engine. Dun be surprised your coolant and engine oil level might drop abit and you have to topup. If you fail to ensure these 2 things adequate before and after track, you will have serious problems.

 

Make sure your chain and sprocket not used up, the chain can snap. It's happened before and when it happens in PG, you're in for a terrible time.

 

On the track, dun bother about the faster bikes just keep to your line and dun swerve unnecessarily. The one behind is supposed to avoid you but if you swerve unexpectedly you affect their judgement. Having your side mirrors on will help, for now. You'd need someone experienced to show you the track safety do's n dont's. Main concern is safety and look where you're going, which is the essence of track riding.

really make me more gian to go track liao.. somewhere can play safer and no cars nor potholes around..

can anyone advise me, my EO keep going low, and i need to consistent top up, no leak frm drain plug, floor no oil. I have visit 2 bike shop and both mech say different, one told me to overhaul and the other(which i did) change my EO from 5w to 15w(make EO thicker) but dun seem to help. Do i really need to go for overhall session ?

i not famous la, not like amos... what happened to flowers was tragic n sad. but wat happened to some of my late frens at NSH in separate accidents oso sad. even more sad 1 of them was my buddy who helped me to my 1st trophy in Sepang... we were once sparring partners at PG oso, but he was not very inclined to serious track riding... and another one was my 'hellriding' kaki before i hit the tracks... also used to kup corner together...

 

so pple out there pls ride safe... the NSH is not a speeding playground... the track is...

 

btw alot of pple selling used suit in garage sales le

guys any of u know if we can use rvf magneto coil for our bike?

 

maybe diffrent,

 

their magneto coil part nomber was:-

 

VFR400R NC30-----31120-MR8-781

RVF400R NC35-----31120-MR8-091

CBR400RR NC23----31120-KY2-003

CBR400RR NC29----31120-MV4-000

 

if i not wrong, the mounting is same, wiring and nomber of small coil maybe diffrent.

i used this RPM pipes before (the exact same ones) with flatsides. very powerful pickup at 7k RPM n above, but not easy to tune the jets. i love it alot, 7krpm the bike like got turbo. nice sound too, but pipe is rare. there is only 1 in SG, unless someone else brings it in w/o me knowing.

 

there is a reason the display bike is w/o lower fairing tho, coz the original fairings won't fit! race fairings can adjust but incurs a little fairing damage.

yeah.. NSH very dangerous..tat's y i try to use it in the day only.. :) cant buy now..need to confirm my job first.. :) after that will den confirm tracking already.. :)

the idling sound is ulu-ulu"tokkong", i like it :angel:
