i dun think u are suay like me, my prob is rev till rpm too high and previous owner nv take care. if u nv hear ur engine gt knocking sound and lost of power, should be ok.

Remember..engine preferrably warm or hot. Pour in 30ml first and straight away idle for 5 to 10 mins or better still go ride the bike around.

 

Wait till about 500km clocked..use another 30ml..same proceedure and the last 30ml. The most important is that it had to be used for up to 1000 km.

 

Let me know as things progress especially like to hear about your fc figures. But remember that this product is specifically to micro coat your cylinder wall, piston and ring and gears. You should get better compression result. How to tell if compression is 'rebuild'?..monitor your rev meter, as you ride, the rev should increase slower than usual (call rev-drop) but your speedometer indicate fast rising speed.

 

The one time treatment will easily last you 30,000 km..use with X-1R should extend this 30,000 km. Again, never try never know...LOL!

As pic above, Valve Clearance=Tappet Clearance(our CBR400RR is similar as above)

 

Valve Clearance=?

Normally ppl say doing Valve Clearance, actually is adjust the Tappet Clearance by replacing the Shim Thickness(replacing certain thickness to achieve the Tappet Clearance)

 

for CBR400RR Valve Clearance spec(cold):-

Intake Valve :0.12-0.18mm(all)

Exhaust Valve :0.17-0.23mm(for J,K,N&L), 0.18-0.24mm(for R model ONLY)

 

Shim Thickness avaible,

for J and K models-----1.200mm till 2.800mm(incresing 0.025mm, 64 pcs avaible)

for L and N models-----1.200mm till 2.800mm(incresing 0.025mm, 64 pcs avaible)

for R models-----1.200mm till 2.900mm(incresing 0.025mm, 68 pcs avaible)

 

Note:

Shim need to replace as necessary.

my Hurricane is about 245km+-(ride only below 5000RPM)

but that's cos i ride aprox 80km/h most of the time ;p

a lot of factors to see how much milage ur blade can hit.. tyre pressure, tuning, riding habits and etc..

i normally can hit 270km before reserve even when travelling around 100km/h(6k rpm)

 

do you guys do valve clearence too ? or is it a small matter to be concerned?

oh and when riding, i hear the small lilttle tick-ling sound.

is it a sign of it ?

 

if the small tick-ling sound is not very loud, it is still ok..
