dyno jet basically is the bigger size pin inside the carb which increase the flow of fuel..which means..more fc andmore power....hahaha

Haha.. Thanks.. Really duno how to explain.. =)

icic... i thought cbr has no dyno jet... i think i had mistaken it for dyno tuning which HKL always advertised about.. still the same logic for me.. install dyno jet means FC shoot up!! haha.. no way will i install it for now.. LoL.. :cheeky:

Btw any bladders has damper installed on their bikes?

Poorer fuel consumption and more power u mean lol

Theres no such thing as get more power and save more fuel..

The more power comes from burning more fuel afterall.. unless u previously have inefficient combustion in ur engine after installing certain device the combustion became more efficient, giving u better milage then can say is save more fuel :p :cheeky:

Jet kits induce more fuel into ur cylinder for combustion than the stock jet kits , to make it efficient its best u get urself more air for optimized air/fuel ratio. Ie high flow air filter. To get better effects u need to allow the increased exhaust gas to come out more easily so getting urself a set of hurricane header + aftermarket pipe will do the job.

After that go do carburator setting and u've maximised the potential of ur bike!! woot

Thought of that but no place to mount the dampers leh.. i see rvf and pgm already got a hole in their frame to mount but CBR dun have >.

can anyone advise me, my EO keep going low, and i need to consistent top up, no leak frm drain plug, floor no oil. I have visit 2 bike shop and both mech say different, one told me to overhaul and the other(which i did) change my EO from 5w to 15w(make EO thicker) but dun seem to help. Do i really need to go for overhall session ?

if changing to a thicker engine oil dosen't work, then most likely it's time for a overhaul (check pistons, piston rings, cylinder wall. etc) and change worn out parts as deem necessary.

note: worn out pistons, pistons rings and cylinder walls will not only caused consumption of engine oil, but it will also caused compression lost of the engine, therefore, lost of power... in long run, it will cause more damage to the other internal parts... eg. conrods, crankshaft...

Above are just my opinion, more experience riders please advise if i'm wrong...

there is dynojet for cbr400 but the ting is duno if dynojets in spore are being brought in from us or uk cos dynojet uk does have stage 1 dynojets.

please refer to this webby for more info http://www.dynojet.co.uk/jetkits/prices-jets-on-road.php

i oso tinking of installing a damper but duno where to install n not really keen on installing at the side like some s4 which i've seen mount on fuel tank near handlebar like more proper but duno bout tad..

bout the balls product ting,i've used that kinda ting b4 but another brand which is oso quite popular(dun wana say brand name) for my kr last time, when tok bout power increase honestly i din feel any much of a diff but when tok bout fc they was a really big noticeable diff. my i got extra 50-60km mileage.hw it works is in simple terms is to break down the fuel n make it thinner therefore making fc better

that mean i have no choice to overhaul ?? will be expensive. *sigh*

possible have a look on your bike? :)

did u notice that any white(slightly blue white) smoke come from your exhaust?(normal riding)

anyway u can try the thicker EO :) (SAE50 or 20W50)

Don't be too hasty..your bike don't need a overhaul and don't ever tell a mech you wnat an overhaul or a mech telling you you need an overhaul.

What I gather here is that likely its your piston rings need change. It comes in a set of six per piston and one of the ring is call a "oil ring" and I believe may be one or two may be one.

You just let them know that you wanna have your piston rings set changed..can be considered a "top overhaul". But before doing so, go blow your bike at hi-rev and see if there is excessive white smoke coming out from your pipe.

The other things that can cause eo level to drop is like engine operating in extreme temperature. Depending on how you ride and an in environmental (in heavy city traffics) etc..oso to make sure your cooling system is ok. Please check all this first before saying "overhaul"..top overhaul and change of parts is a different thing...save $$$s!

Also note that if you ever do an overhaul, the wear and tear of the cyclinder is still the same..and yes, this causes compression losses. Unless you change the cyclinder block which is helluvah expensive..either go for bond ceramic coating (expensive) or use liquid CLS (Crystal Lattice Structire) bonding which easily last you 35K mileage which is so much cheaper.

Stupid Hurts!.:giddy:Speed doesn't kill, mistakes does :faint:

BEER!...it's cheaper than fuel now! DRINK!..DON'T RIDE!

frm the starting i been using 5w and now i change to 15w. But when i riding, there are no white smoke unless u rev at high rpm

i try blowing bike at high rev, there are white smoke, but not very much. my eo drop abt 200ml per mnth.

In this case, oil ring is minor..200ml is a lot. Try Liquid Moly Valve cleaner to get rid off accumulated harden carbons for the valves first. I recommend trying CLS BOnd with X-1R in eo with grade 10/40W mixed with viscosity enhancer or use 20/50W...use car eo and not any of so call good motorcycle oil. No venture no gain..never try never know.

Try it before you decide..even top overhaul may not sovled your problem.

so wat should i tell the mech to do ? use Liquid Moly Valve cleaner, and CLS BOnd with X-1R in eo with grade 10/40W mixed with viscosity enhancer or use 20/50W??

These items are all DIY stuff...eo and liquid moly no problem. I doubt any mech can get them. PM me if you want to do this first before deciding on piston ring changes.

thanks alot in advance. I have try raming my throttle to high rev, to my notice, white smoke appear at 7k rpm, and black smoke follow by white smoke at 15rpm. So frm this situation, wat prob can i see frm my bike ? pls advise
