Just changed my wire harness and wash and tune carb. Woohoo!!! My baby's back in business!

Bro, it might be the fuse. Coz it happen to my bike before. Before the fuse is completely fused, it will show some symptons like wat u are expriencing now. And the reason y i ask u to check ur fuse becoz it is the cheapest and easiest way. Even if it doesn't solve the prob, you wun feel so heart pain over a few cents. Dun be surprised how a cheap fuse can cause a major prob to our bike especially OUR bike, CBR400. Coz our bike depends a lot on electricity. A weak batt can cause our bike to under perform like mad.

its not the fuse or the armature. i went to bike shop then they change the starter coil then everything fine. 80bucks for the coil.. then now the mechanic say need to change battery soon. he quoted me 95 for japan batt n 45 for shinko batt. he say use the shinko one no gd n cannot last. wat do u guys think? which battery shld i use? btw thanks hrcsgp n guy.

I tink u mean starter relay ah..the square one..

ya its the square one. i thought starter coil cos tts wat the mech said it was. now when my bike problem i still dunno which shop to go. i cant find a mech tts reliable and has gd workmanship. anywhere u guys can recommend? i mean to do repairs n all.

erm.. bro.. maybe u wan to check ur batt first.. normally if u rev the voltage is around 12.5 - 14, i think is still fine with the batt.. if the batt is fine.. then most likely might be ur magnetic coil or rectifer is having the problem le.. batt wise i think yuasa cost between 60 - 80 de.. 95 a bit like kanna chop de feeling leh..

Hi to all.. Wat cld be the cos of rough idling. Recently my blade's idling increases to 2 k. Initial start n go is fine...1.3k then all of a sudden it increases and decreses. Not stable. This idling cos my temp to rise fast. Carb washed and synchronised recently. Plugs r fine. Any idea?

 

hey fren.. i'm also having the same problem.. idlling is not stable.. sometimes might it go too low then cease the engine.. went to check and was told tat might need to do valve clearance.. but dun know is it for ur case..

 

btw.. need help from guys here.. anyone got experience with doing valve clearance? heard it cost quite a bit..

Talk to HRCSGP if you need to get the valve clearances done, he can recommend a good place, he had looked after my bike here since I got it and is a very friendly and genuine guy.

 

The cost of doing the valve clearances depends on the condition, first they need to inspect and measure, depending on the number of shims that need to be replaced the price can fluctuate a lot. If other things are worn out and identified at the same time the price can go up even more.

 

It's worth getting your valve clearances checked and adjusted as required by the service manual as CBR400s have a tendency to drop valves if the proper maintenance is not done in that area and then you end up needing to get the entire head repaired or replaced.

u turn the knot and allow it to point to DC volt..

diff meter hav diff ranges choices..

choose for 20V range if u want to hav better reading..
