Let's have a discussion on fuel consumption....

 

I read through the threads and notice that some of us obtain 200km full tank while some can reach 300km before reserve....

 

for those who had their problem solved, pls give us the solution as to how to improve the fuel consumption.

 

I asked some ppl, some say tuning problem, which is one of the factors, carb dirty, etc....

 

Some mech recommend changing the main fuel jet so that the amt of fuel flowing in is lower..... while some just did tuning......

 

what is the exact prob, i'm sure many of us wanna find out the problem.... so ppl pls share ur exp............. I'm sure many ppl will appreciate..... :cheer:

Theres lots of reasons behind for the fuel consumption..

 

it could be:

 

-your riding style

whether you are riding slow and easy or fast and furious, how much you drag your gear, how much pick up you played, your cruising speed is how much at what gear.

 

-rider's weight, with or without pillion

The heavier you are, the more power u need for the bike to move off.

 

-engine's condition

carb tunning(lean or rich), air filter dirty or not, fuel jet big or small.

 

-type of fuel used

different grades(92/95/98) and brands of fuel gives different milage.

I assume that u travel at 80km/h at normal road.... 90-100 on expressways

 

rev to 5 or 6 change gear.... normally these don do SO much diff right...

 

I'm assuming under normal riding... no wack so drag.... if wack and drag got nothing to say lah... but if normal riding still like that mean got problem liao

 

last time when i still riding sp, full thank 200km, wack now and then also the most 180, don drop much what....

 

that's why i'm trying to summarise all possible problems and solution

waisehhh..... still remember when he first day ride his sp.. mi lau jiao liao.. den i buy cbr just start learnin de bike, he ridin k2 liao... wah.. how things change.. haiz, den ur cbr wif ah hong??
