MELAKA COMPLETED REPORT SOLO RIDE ON YAMAHA SPARK Z 110cc

 

Bike: Yamaha Spark Z 110cc aka Lagenda

Year : 2004 December

Current Mileage : 92516km

Upon reading these solo riders with cub kias, I did a test run to Melaka to test my heavy body and bike machine endurance.

 

13/4/09

Morning 10:10am from JB town

Full tank 4.5 litre with BHP petrol RON 97 unleaded

 

NON_STOP riding at constant 80km/h from BHP kiosk, Pelangi, JB to Heeren Hotel, Hereen Street ( Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock), Melaka.

 

NON –STOP live telecast at 80km/h took me 3 hours 10 minutes for point to point journey. Total one way is 218km

 

One night in Heeren Hotel RM129 very tranquil, exotic, antique hotel.

 

14/4/09

Return to Singapore at night via woodlands.

 

Bike maintenance before journey:-

Changed

Air filter genuine hong leong Yamaha holograph RM16

Shell 20w-40 engine oil RM13.50

NGK G-Power spark Plug RM12

 

What I learnt?

 

Bike is strong but I am weak due to heavy body. My arms painful and also the hand palms become numb.

 

This is a food festival for myself. So just eat and eat all the way in Melaka.

 

Places I ate in famous UNICEF Jonkers walk

 

Rice ball chicken hainan

Café 1511 – asam laksa

Korean café – did DR.fish massage for foot and eat Korean eggroll

Baba house – eat fantastic nasi goreng + rendang ayam + brinjals

Coconut house – gula melaka + coconut inside pizza and 2 fresh coconut juice

Juice restaurant – green apple juice

 

Bandar Melaka Raya

Newton food square – egg + prawn chee cheong fun

 

Portuguese Settlement

Portugis dishes

 

Spa massage by Balinese girls with massage certificate. A Hindu girl name Dewi, did massage. Took royal indulgence puri-puri package

2 hours 20 min = RM305 including tax.

First time did spa in life and had superb powerful experience. It was inside a world class spa environment. She use bioessentials product and will let me smell and guide me for every treatment on foot, body, face.

 

For next journey

 

Need to buy :-

Better hand glove which can protect palms from being numb.

Green vest with more reflective for vehicles behind to notice me.

Change the rear light bulb from Stanley to Osram, so that is more brighter.

Put more lotion on buttock.

 

Need to exercise and reduce 30kg.

 

Next trip plan to shoot at 120km/h constant to Frasers hill.

 

If successful, will plan to Satun via Wang Kelian, Perlis. Then next day use trunk rd to Hadyai.

 

I believe I never read bikers been to Satun..

as for the questions ...

 

I don't use 2nd link at all. I only stick to woodlands out.

 

X1 bike was out after yamaha spark z 110cc. X1 came to spore in year november 2004. I rejected the bike for 2 reasons and sticked on yamaha spark z 110cc.

 

rastus, take note.

bike engine never worn out. it is the human not strong. do u know endurance race?? Malaysia always host endurance race at circuit track - shah alam or pasir gudang by HONDA. They use honda ex5 for 4 hours NON STOP at maximum SPEED for 4 hours to race. This is called endurance. BUT every 2 hours they switch person but still on same bike. so that means for 4 hours = 1 bike but 2 riders at high speed racing on trek.

 

And also suzuki cub and scooter does endurance travel on highway around peninsula malaysia which is almost more then 18 hours and the bike cannot be off engine even during fuel refill. But the riders will take turn swicthing riders.

 

SO THIS PROVES suzuki and honda engines and other engines of 4 stroke can work like buffalo. But human is the one fails and need to be switched .

 

also in Japan they have endurance race on trek for superbikes for 8 hours. Normally suzuki GSX1000R wins the endurance.

 

so conclusion, don't blame the engine but our body organs. My bike did it NON stop running but I wish I could be less then 30kg so that I can be strong and not weak arms and palms and buttocks.

 

lwfc, i have at the bottom report i have stated where is my next destination ....read back ....and wanna do 120km/h NON-STOP till the fuel reduces to low.

 

 

as the bike grew older and more mileage i started to love it more and more

 

ok , also for 92,000km mileage i only rode in spore and JB town only

 

now only i started to bring further up far away

upz bro!! power !! ur journey tells everyone dat its NOT abt wat bike u r riding, but its abt ur endurance. :thumb: i did d same thing as u, solo ride up to kajang, KL, den up to Selangor n back. but i stoped alot. riding my bajaj pulsar exia 180. yeah!! from ur post dat ive read, im gona try riding non-stop from jb town to parit bakri (distance to almost 200km one way) at 100-110km, visiting my uncle there.

alternatively , you can increse engine capacity by 90 too 200cc!!:cheeky:

1 is mechinical upgrade

1 is physical downgrade (or is it upgrade,? since women spend thousands to slim down)

as i said in my report

 

yamaha spar z has 4.5 litre tank

In Melaka i went to portuesge settlement and other places.

The next day only I pump in full tank again

 

So almost 4.5 litre tank I used for 232km

 

Actually my bike can go 250km with condition riding at 80km/h only

but my main jet in carburator and also clutch plate and auto clutch was in terrible bad condition and I haven't change them yet. These can actually consume little more petrol due to inconsistency in engine.

 

I will be doing major service and then shoot at 120km/h constant speed to my next trip planned.

Do watch out for signal from your blader and replenishing of body fluid if you are gonna seat on the bike for such long hours on subsequent rides.

cause

legs more relaxing and body posture not painful

 

only do this before ur ride

 

check the bearings and shafts of belting before ride

either grease them or make belt in tip top condition.

don't look down on machines

 

as i said before

 

machine is ready but are you ready ?

 

for vespa, the problem is wind blow in highway may shake the bike as vespa design is more in urban areas.

 

vespa must be 4 stroke type and not 2T. Just do main periodic checks and changes then shoot to Melaka for testing first like I did.

 

Don't care about mileage or old bike. Mine is 5 years old and

mileage 93xxxkm then only i bring to melaka.

 

In year 2003, I saw an old malay couple traveling in higway somewhere in simpang renggam PLUS in vespa at night. WOW
