very agile n nippy bike, good ground clearance, FC=28km+/-per litre.

top speed=130+km/h. good resale value.

not so refine compare to Jap scooter.

prone to breakdown even if its new!(depends on your luck!)

Rode this scooter for 2 years!

I'm riding the 2 stroke year 2000 model, so far no breakdown despite getting into an accident but my FC is like 21km~24km per litre; very bad for a 2B. Every month or so just regular servicing of EO and spark plug, nothing much.

Thanks guys for your input...

indeed i am very attracted to gilera's elegant look .. being an auto - i do worry abt riding bored to death .. :p

but worries me most is whether it demands for high maintenance/breakdown easily ...

the latest vespa oso catches my eye .. or is there any recommendations for 2a elegant sports bike ...

breakdown is actually seeing your luck? i been riding my 05 runner for going 1 year plus, no major breakdown .Before changing to runner i was running tzm, been auto at first was relax as i do not have to change gear. Have to really depend on your mindset..For me now is relax~ :cheeky:

Yamaha tzm-(31/11/2006-18/11/2007)

Gilera Runner VXR200-(02/12/2007-25/02/2009)

I doubt 28km/l is easily obtainable.

There's pros and cons to everything.Good things dun come cheap. Break downs are all too subjective and it is not a very common bike unlike cubs and phantoms.

agree tat its subjective.. depends on the rider too rite ...

no hell riding for sure ... its just the condition of the bike .. like uh very fragile or prone to breakdowns .. my previous GSXR was good, even tho its 2nd hand ... 1st hand no guarantee its good ...

sure am targetting on riding on relax cum auto mode...

its a real headache, manage to sell it off asap lucky due maintenance totally diff from carbs, inj geared bike is always pref. to take note many replacement parts like its rollers beltings and care on the EO. it does gives you the freedom convenience while riding needless to change gear but still .......

To match the above purchase i rather pick up Honda Wave ..... Best of all in its class, just making more workshop less work to do..

Agreed with you on the first part, but I still had better comfort riding my gilera. Wave just isnt that nice to ride. It was really a headache just to change tires, the internal design kinda sucked very difficult for maintenance.

TS should just get something in really good condition and do your regular maintenance should be fine.
