compression..

for now my knowledge is tat, the nearer the spark the better the compression is..

not to worry so much abt the piston size..

You are correct.. The nearer the sparkplug is, the better combustion u get. But pls leave it to the expert to do the skimming. Once few mm mistakes, it can lead to major repair. :)

same feed of petrol into smaller chamber does help in compression too.

u know the polini block looks exactly like the stock block. even the head. but it boasts of a higher compression ratio than malossi's that is something i wonder why too.

Yes polini is a good block too but might as well use a ported

Standard block. It produce e same thing, same power.

2stroke is for pick-up, drag racing cum tight track like our

track in tuas. It's not really good for long distance race as

It may stress our engines. For those who loves touring or

like to blast for long distance use polini or best is convert to

4stroke bikes and for those who loves to have immediate

Responce Power produces, get Malossi coz of lighter/smaller

Piston diameter. Oh btw, by changing block does not give

100% power.. There's alot more stage to complete. Gotta

Use ur knowledge of bike to get e best result and know wats

Inside out ur bike. No point if you're rich n and install everything In but still not enough power produce. :)

standard potted block done in wad way? you can get results by doing it malaysian style, just port the ports big, but u lose the reliability. theres no way u can get the same ouput as a engineered production block such as a malossi or polini. If done wrongly, you need to buy a new block. i used before a ported stock block, polini and malossi. still, i feel that malossi gives me a better gain.

and true, 4 strokes are better for touring. And of cos we must know what parts we input into our rides yield wad kind of results. :)

It doesn't matter la bro wat brand you're using.. It's abt

How u mix n match ur products. It's really a fun machine

To play. Btw i've tried my fren bike dat already ported

His standard block done By himself.. I'm really amused by

His work. It's as powerfull as the branded racing blocks.

Diff ppl diff preferences.. Some ppl were born gifted to have

This kind of knowledge. :cheeky:

Did you kow that:

The Gilera Runner is a moped/scooter made by the Piaggio Group which also incorporates Gilera. The Gilera Runners come in a variety of engine sizes and all Runner versions come equipped with a liquid-cooled engine and sporty paintwork which are the features that make Runner a performance scooter. The Runner is currently available with 50cc, 125cc or 200cc engines and comes with powerful disk brakes front and rear.

The Runner 50 is available in SP version (liquid cooled) and Purejet (injection). The Runner over 50 is also available in two versions: Runner VX 125 and Runner VXR 200: performance, technology and low fuel consumption with L.E.A.D.E.R 125 and 200 liquid cooled 4-stroke, 4-valve engine.

In earlier years there were also 2 strokes available and these were and still are the most popular, but unfortunately production was stopped due to new European emission standards. The 2 stroke versions were called Runner FX 125 and Runner FX 180, later updated and renamed Runner SP 125 and Runner SP 180 respectively. The Gilera Runner FX/SP 180 featured a top speed of around 85mph. They had a perfect weight/power balance for long distance riding on only the rear, called "Wheelies". There are numerous videos posted on youtube which showcase the use of this bike to perform these stunts.

The biggest difference between the FX and the SP is the FX had a 9 litre petrol tank and battery stowed near the spark plug and a rear drum brake. The SP has 12 litre petrol tank, the battery is stowed under the seat and it has a rear disc brake.

Gilera made a daring release in 1998-1999 with the Gilera Runner 'DD' otherwise known as the DarkDream. These Runners were all SP versions and featured a Dell'Orto 17,5 mm carburetor which was limited but easy to undo and were fabric fitted with a 50 cc Fast Cylinder. This resulted in a large popularity for this version which still keeps on. The DarkDream is well known for its speed and durability. The cylinder itself is made in the factory where the Gilera Runner is made

passion equals money, no money no passion, no money where got bike, no money no love. simple equation.

 u must learn how to maintained it by not using much

Of ur savings. Knowledge of bike is a must to learn or if not

Kena cheat by mechanics who loves hidden cost..

Italian bikes a bomb to maintained but for those who budget

To e core, might as well get "Kapcai" hehe' no offence
