im getting my tzm soon which is a stock one worth 4.2 k altogether..

but i heard from alot of my frens who ride bike say tat tzm not good..expensive n alot prob..a problematic bike..spare part hard to find...mantainence ex..im unclear so wan to ask all tzm riders is tat true? cos my frens nobody ride a tzm...somehow like compare to kips or sp? cos i only into this 3 kinds but more to tzm..hope someone will share wif me things bout tzm.. thx !

bro tzm is nt a problematic bike if u noe hw to take gd care of it... yamaha spare parts is easy to get.... sori to say mebe ur fren cant afford a tzm dat is y they say its a problematic bike... i used to ride my m for 4 years & so far it is very gd... its a 2 stroke bike wat can u expect... if u keep speeding there's sure to be sumting wrong... so u muz noe the limit of the bike & dun keep pushin it to the max alwayss... bt to each of its own.. cheerss

hey ther jackk! In my opinion, TZM is a powerful bike among the other 2 dat u mentioned.. however, it all boils down to the rider & his bike. It's true dat it's quite problematic but which bike isnt rite? Evry bike has it's own problem, strength & weakness.. even kr & sp, but wad matters is hw u maintain the bike. The more & the better u take gd care of it, the less problematic it wil be. *winks* I dont tink it's dat hard to get spare parts, afterall, it's a jap bike which is still commonly used today, tho ther's no more production. In any way, if u feel dat it's ex/difficult to change/find spare parts or do mod, ther's alwys JB- a place of heaven for bikers. Regardin price wise, i agree M is much more ex, but once u ride it.. u'l realise hw worth it is to hv spend that extra k on this machine. M has YPVS which SP/kr doesnt.. and i supposed, dat's one of the reasons for the high price.

 

anw, these are just my tots. For advice, u cn ask supafly the pro or other bikers here. Choose wisely !! Gd luck in choosing ur bike!

Jackk: acutally is all up to you. you come tzm thread of cause we will say tzm good likewise you go SP or Kips thread they will say their bike is good. all i can say is i nv regret getting my M for sure =)

maintenance wise.... well... do ur regular things... engine oil change... service carb... all normal la.. expensive maintenance? hmmm... depends on which shop u go to i guess?

 

regarding fuel consumption... its not an economical bike la... its a high revving , torquey bike. u cant always ride slow.. might get problems. n u cant ride too fast either... can kena saman. wahahahahah! there is a certain way to ride this bike la i should say.

 

problematic? well.. if u mod here n dere n everywhere... it will most probly going to be problematic la.. but if u hav a standard bike.. WITH mostly original parts inside n minimum mods den d problems ur most likely to get is from d wear n tear. wad plate ur getting anyway?

 

spare part hard to get? well u can just go to one of d yamaha agents in singapore n get ur bleddy spare parts there. no stock? can order. then ask a mech ur familiar with to fix for u. simple right?

 

i dun agree with going to jb to do d bike actuali. yar they've got the skill. n its cheaper. well at least d labour is cheaper. however d spare parts there are expensive. u can get original parts here cheaper den d shops are selling there u noe? wen u service ur bike, automatically they will replace worn off parts with non ori parts. if u ask for ori parts they charge u more, n u wont even noe wether its ori or not.

 

my advice is.. pick a bike dat suits ur riding style la and also how deep ur pocket is. hahahahah! or if u like d shape of d bike... or mebbe how it sounds... tzm not many ppl hold on to it. use for a year or 2 den upgrade or downgrade.. get a fren familiar with d bike to pick out a nice one!
