I think Gear Oil is referred to car Transmission Oil. Meant for the gear box..

for long term use. when up class2 my runner still can keep as transport. if change vtec3 too expensive for my insurance,vtec1 FS plate coe left around 2 year also cost 5k+ ,afterward also hard to sell if renew coe also thousand plus. So decided to get a runner for transport use only.

it is cheap and good but in a long term maybe not. maintaince and road tax will save alot if stay on 2B.

Hi,

I am Marko from Serbia, Europe. I traded my Honda Dominator for a TZM 1999 in a rather good condition, painted, fallen before painted and repaired, replaced piston (not original who knows whats inside).

 

Runs really good so far, gets good mileage, but i think im too big and old for it, still i like it.

 

I oly have a strange feeling that dozens of things will go wrong every minute i ride it. Corners extremely well. leaks oil a bit on YVS valve or whatever it is.....

 

Transmission jammed in neutral gear last month after getting harder and harde to change gears (oil just replaced just before that), stayed like that for a week, than accidentaly bike leg stand broke while i was starting it up, bike almost fell over on me, and transmission started working like nothing ever happened.

 

Today im changing gear oil, again, just in case, before due change, and water also (antifreeze collant) also, in Belgrade sometimes gets below -10. I gues a litlle screw on water pump will get rid off the excessive air in the pump.

 

It goes up to 120 km/h and doesnt move a mile over.

 

Factory tires.

I was wondering if anyone can send me (mail me) some maintainance or user manual or work manual, maintenance brochure , catalogue or whatever. Maybe i can keep it to race here during summer.

No harm riding a TZM for transport. I ride an R1 for transport too. This reason shouldn't be any skin off your nose. Being new to the forum, please do exercise self restraint and keep any inflammatory comments to yourself. Your cooperation in this matter is appreciated...
