heya brothers, what can happen if drag too much?

i like to drag to 11-12rpm then change gear..

heard bike can explode.

ahaha joking~

perhaps problems with piston/block/powervalve?

Piston jam...then you fly, at that speed, prolly got almost no time to clutch.

 

Piston head can also break into pieces, crankshaft can snap etc, either way you fly or get hurt by shrapnel.

everytime buy fully synthetic, pocket can koyak~

recently i'm using YAMAHA AUTOLUBE (semi-synth)

Just buy Shell or Esso off the shelf, the one not so cheap yet not so expensive.

i never drag at all. usually change gear at about 6500rpm or just before 7k rpm. honestly, until now, i never even drag past 8k rpm.

Motul 510 semi , Motul 710 full.. If you like to pecut alot as in alot , use silkolene Fuch 2t as it's thick , if on premix Maxima Castor 927.. This minor things try to feed nicer oils , it'll won't lighten your pocket..

 

Base on personal experience do not use shell or mobil semi-synthetic oil unless u want a fogging machine..

those new peeps that juz got tzm, have the bike overhaul before? Best is if u dont know, hear there engine, i suggest u overhaul 1st. From there start to maintain. Thats what i did if not 1 problem after another u dunno whats happening. And keep on spending more. I rather throw $400 to FULL overhaul then from there left only little things to take note off.

overall i think 2t oil from sg petrol stations like esso shell spc are smoky..

My logic is, if bike is not in tip top condition, gonna overhaul soon anyway, no point use good quality stuff like Motul full synth la, Pennzoil Marine la, V-Power la.

 

Semi- synth off shelf, 98 is enough. Check ur 2T pump, thats the downside of one, if it spoils = piston jam as opposed to premix. If alot of smoke, usually not ur 2T alone, see your settings.

 

I use Mobil 1 full synth 2T still got smoke, albiet less la but not by much.

 

Kerplunkz is right la, don't use off shelf if you wanna take care of the bike. If can run can already then it doesn't matter.

ohh yeah guys, if wanna overhaul ... dont get cheated.

if want to full overhaul , make sure u tell them FULL overhaul.

if u juz say overhaul, later they juz do top overhaul for u while u go makan, u didnt see wat they doing. Full overhaul need to down engine. means take out the whole engine. change engine bearing , conrod, piston , piston ring etc and everything New and they clean ure engine sui sui. if top overhaul, only change piston , piston ring etc. no need down engine.

Choose ure shop/mechanic wisely, make sure u know what parts they are using. local or original hong leong.

Best policy still is to stand there and 'supervise'. You see something as simple as change brake disc pad if it goes unsupervised can potentially kill you. Not gonna mention the shop but its West side but not Bukit Merah shops.

 

If no time, don't go, simple. Don't waste money, time and risk yourself. Unless you trust that mechanic or he is a trusted one who got pride in his work, recommended by many people.
