lancer: gentle brake.... vibration...

Hi guy....

i just got a 2nd hand lancer... i apply very gentle brake, i can feel the vibration... but normal brake, there's no vibration...

 

what is the problem? where can i go to, to ask mech to help me see see...

 

for bike... vibration = rotor up the lorry...

 

car... not sure le... how the rotor will gana bang 1....

Sound like a warped rotor to me as well. The heating up and cooling down cycle makes the rotor warped. It is common.

Agreed.

 

From TS's description, his vibration sounds more like brake judder which is primarily caused by the formation of hard nodules in the iron. Engineers call these nodules heat spots. You can still experience judder when the rotors is still within spec.

 

When the rotor passes under the pad, these spots cause brake judder, i.e. pulsating brakes. It only takes a spot .001 inches above the rotor surface to feel brake judder.

 

Another suggestion is to check if the rotors have been skimmed.

but in the end, the guy is nice enough to come over my car n take a look. i told me, from the story of the rotor, it's most likely the pad... total mileage is only 30k km....

 

any workshop to intro? i would like to change my EO also...

C&C charges really super ex... i saw the price was like $300!!!! fainted on the spot.....

 

anyway, do you guys know where to get spare parts for lancer? like our bike... honda from FJT...

cs3 shld be easy to find parts, well we didn't ask you to go AD for a reason . you can find Jb (not johor bahru) he also driving one.

General servicing most shops can do it, no need pro workshop with "PRO" charges to chg the engine oil. PM me if u need contacts

left with the air con thing.... wack liao... then got small sound....

off air con then don have sound...

ask the autbac mech, he say is due to the magnetic compressor, on n off thing

I saw your nick already, I'd screw the dealer if they gave me an older batch of unit. Get the new one instead and also replace the harness with the dealer as well. Else just leave those unseen things untouched

we all know the skill levels of their mechs, only good enough for EO changes and tyres :X
