Town Council Parking fine.

Hi guys,

 

sorry for creating a new thread as i could not find any email address that i could send my appeal letter to. As mentioned i was been fined by town council for illegal parking at pavement. is there any email or place where i can appeal?

 

Appreciate if anyone could help.

go straight to town council, n go fill in the application form there...i dont trust emails that much when it comes to job application or money issue.... personal preferance..

3rd time offender?? Depends on the different Town Councils. For some, it's incremental, meaning:

1st time - $100

2nd time - $200

3rd time - $400

For others, it's fixed.

But the chances of a straight waiver with Town Council, as opposed to HDB, is very, very slim.... especially when you're a repeat offender or recalcitrant.

 

Bro steven, just pay for the season parking laaaa... It's only $15-17 per month, less than a full tank top-up...

the thing is I'm paying my season parking at my own house carpark already. The one I kena summoned is at my gf's house lar. Haiz

Anyway my second time is $100 leh, not $200. Hope that the town council is fixed rate.

i think you can buy season ticket still...especially for gf house because you'll probably be there often...probably everyday?

Correct!!! Some more, can recycle the coupon for whole day. 65 cents only mah. Buy ice cream can only get Paddle Pop....

e last time i when there for e appeal form,..they told me to appeal online. they say there's no more appeal form.want to appeal,..use net.

 

if u kena sumon by TP..for the same offence, any1 know how 2 appeal??

TP sumon me..but never put e notice paper on my bike. suddenly letter come to my house..

i juz kena frm punggol town council 2mths ago.. they still using the appeal form at their counter... no online/email even after i requested thru the phone..

 

to stevensp, i m in the same situation as u.. now i juz tear coupon... coz even i fold they flip up my coupon to check... no point wasting $$ further juz LL suck thumb n pay them.. these are all the prices for having a gf.....

for parking offence like loading and unloading bay, tp offence u can appeal.

 

I kena $100 for loading and unloading bay for 1st time went online to appeal, 1st ok la they give chance. They got record one leh... more then once i think u pay fine better. As for tp offence if u got 1 tp case pending for appeal and u kena 2nd tp case. 99% u cant get appeal for both. It's better to pay off 1 of the case.

I kana b4 at my own m/storey c/park. Got season parking but my fault ar. Park at 1st storey, double yellow line coz its bout 3am and lazy 2 go up. But bo pien, summon means summon, write in, say buey tahan liao, need to go toilet urgently....lucky they waive....if not, $25 fly awaaaaaaaay.....

i kena summon for parking under void deck.. i got season coupon leh, but at night come back my blk and the other blk no parking lot liao.. so no choice got to park under void deck. wan to appeal.. dunno got chance or not

i also experienced this before.. first time town council waive off after i appeal through the MP.. 2nd time i appeal 3 times they also dun wanna give chance.. they say if one more time is $400 !!! then no choice lor paid $200 to them and diam diam lor..

my experience, 1st to 3rd time is $100 each. 4th time court case meaning $1000 fine. I appeal to MP, the MP den give me last warning....heng but that was many years ago.

 

Few mths ago, i parked at pavement again... tink kena complaint 1 lah... $100 fine..... i send in email appeal to T/C but no respond then i called up they say muz go to MP. so i went to see MP give alot of crap reason like bike lot too small for my bike, n the lift upgrading construction dump truck taking up the lots n take alot of photos to prove... n ask the MP "i stay bt purmei gt buy season parking, bt no place to park do u expect me to park at the next estate at telok blangah?" though he except my explaination but oni $50 waived coz my past record they still have although more den 5yrs ago...better den nting.

 

An additional info for u guys, i juz recently found out that cars with season parking are actuali allowed to park illegal at nite eg. double yellow line, handicapped lot, no parking lots, loading/ unloading lots and even bike lots...as long dey are season ticket holder coz at nite is consider inadequate parking lot. oni hv to move away in the morning by abt 9am. but for bike, the most is oni allow to park out of bike lots if u r season holder other parking is not allow. dats the stupid rules of HDB.

for one simple reason: they work there n its not feasible to lease a few lots for them so they r given the privilege to park there..just as long as they do not park indiscriminately in such a way that obstructs human traffic
