Nabil was fun, made a special appearance (I appreciate the visit!) while I was waiting for the phantom which we tuned up and fixed a number of things, DIY carb tuning and fuel economy seminar thrown in. Hopefull we can ride again next week after Ramadan

 

That Phantom sounded very different when it went out of the shop :3

 

Now to rest ahead of the midnight run which will involve all sorts of bikes from all over Singapore. Formations are overrated, we'll do it Air Force style

 

Speaking of "destroyed wheel bearings"... have you seen an air filter that was never changed for like, 8, 9? years? Dr Chong's facial expression was fantastic lol.

If I am 'fighter escort', what are the rest?

 

Wow! Can we do a fly-by while the NSR catches up and join us in formation while on the move? Tho that would mean I'd have to stay behind to capture the whole thing...

 

Preferably we want the NSR to meet us at Toa Payoh Esso for ease of logistics. We don't really know each other since we only rode together for like... 30 seconds before I engaged DIY VTEC that night and ran the traffic light! lol.

 

There are going to be 1-4 bombers (phantoms), 1 recon aircraft (X1R), 1 strike fighter (Hyosung Comet) and 2 air superiority fighters (RS125, NSR)

Mission accomplished, all units returned to base safely :3

 

Mission report

 

My 100kph motorised armchair (now with 47km/l FC!) ate up all the backroads, with a very fierce Hyosung Comet right smack in my mirror all the time! Fantastic formation flying.

 

We also had a guest star (Contrarian) with his awesome BMW adventure tourer that led the first touge run through Devil's Bend. At the back we had some serious riders in 2B sportsbikes keeping a very wide spacing to work their high horsepower magic through the sweeping turns while the streetfighters dueled at close range!

 

All in all the most fun outing I've ever had in SBF, and we achieved that with zero planning, no rules, pure initiative and personal skill.... anime style :3

 

We had 9 bikes in total - from memory the ORBAT was something like this:

YAY! I did my first test run of the camera today.

 

Memory:

I bought 4gb microSD for $10.50.

 

Mount:

I just clipped the thing onto my helmet visor.

 

First impressions:

Sound activated mode does not seem to work very well.

I ended up just pressing the start record button at the

beginning of the trip.

After about 40 minutes of recording, in the middle of my

return trip, the thing stopped recording.

I thought it was the battery finished, but turned out the

memory card was also full.

A continuous shot will be chopped up into separate avi files

of about 200MB or 2 minutes each.

 

That's why, after recording, have to get on the computer and

do virtualdub deshaker rotate compress and all that. This is

where I am stuck at now, any help will be appreciated.
