[Ref] S4 Component Cost

Its rather difficult...I can't spend the whole day at the bike shop...so when alot of ppl recommended me to the shop and I saw the boss and the senior mechs handled bikes very well, I thought they wud take good care of my baby when im not ard. This shows they not honest enuf....if they really treasure their customers...better to inform me which mech doing or let the new mechs do but only if supervised...I left my bike there not to change some teeny weeny parts...

Now I'd rather go to small shop where the mech is the boss....at least better service and workmanship.

hi guys, took my bike since buying not long ago and did some servicing for my bike at planet Motor...

 

- Motul 300V ($24/l)

- Honda Oil filter ($15)

- Tyre (Michelin Pilot Spot) ($290) -> now having offer... and i tested and ride, feel its beri gd!

- Spark Plug * 4 (NGK 8) ($48)

- Coolant (Maxima) ($20)

 

- maybe pay abit more, but happy with the end result... tks..

Hi everyone, Firstly, I'm very new here. And am very impress wat u guys ve been doing, to be united as one by sharing info and news pertaining to motorbikes here.

I just bought a 97, version S model last month. After changing e tires,wheel bearing (front) cone bearing, brake pad (front) balancers (heavy duty) my left hand tense to get numb and weaken when I travel a constant speed about 70-80km/hr,once, I hit 120-130km/h n my whole bike vibrates very badly. I was so ga bra, zebra, grand mother never wear bra tat immediately, I throttled in down.

I read some of ur posting n recall tat e previous owner had ever informed me tat e fork needs to be changed. Please enlighten me the following;

 

1. Could it be the fork problems?

2. Is there anyone selling 2nd hand fork? cost and who's selling?

3. How much is a brand new set? cost and where to get good buy?

4. To save a few $, u think by changing e seals can resolve this problem? previous owner told me not possible as he had done tat n still e problem surface again.

Cone bearing only 1. Wheel bearing 2 at front and 2 at back....

cone bearing consist of 2 sets at the place where ur meter portion is being attached to the chasis (1 top and 1 bottom). make sure they replace the rings(1 top and 1 bottom) in the chasis part cone part... 1 set of cone bearing should consist of 2 rings and 1 ball bearing which is to sit between the two rings... hence replaceing them would need 2 complete sets.

 

wheel bearings will consist of 2 front and 3 rear (one of them would be on the sprocket section

 

pls correct me if i am wrong. this is just my observations when i get them done.

Motul 5100 10W40 Semi-Syn $15 x 4 = $60

ZYX10 Uber Twin Iridium $22 x 4 = $88

Labour charges $15

 

Total: $182

 

The Boss is the Mech. .. Good Service!!! Nice Guy!!!!!

Orginal Honda Oil Filter

 

Total - RM170

 

Change Yuasa YTX9-BS at RM 130

 

Is the shop opp Pelangi and beside the new Honda Shop.....

That works out to S$74 for the oil change! Is it really an original Honda filter? Those come tightly shrink wrapped all around with the Honda sticker and barcode on the side.

 

Do it in SGP cheaper. Check out AHM Performance in Eunos, he does oil top up and charge by exact quatity, it is perfect for odd volume bikes like super Vtecs that require a small bit of top up.

 

The Yuasa YTX9BS batt is only S$45 at Mah Motorpart.

iridium cost $15 oil filter cost $15 original honda. engine oil $40 and no labour charge.. at tampines also ,there a malay machanic dunno what shop name.?...

hmm.....really.....perhaps will change locally then.......cos engine oil usually cost at least $20 per liter......so for four bottle it works out at least 80 sing.......and that is before changing of the oil filter

 

As for the Honda Oil Filter confirmed is orrginal.....and as wat u have mention...is seal and with bar code,,,,,,
