hi Anyone have any bad experiences with Leong Seng at bukit merah ?

 

So far i only got 3 occassions, 2 good 1 bad. The good referrals are those who bought from LS new CB125 and Super4. Hardly any problems.

 

The bad one is when they bought a repsol 2nd hand, 2nd day cannot start, and gear jam. Seems like the servicing they promised my friend when he bought the bike is not done. Also bike warranty only 2 weeks.

 

Any experiences to share ?

I used to patronised dis shop back in year 2000 to 2003.... Used to like their services... I always go to dat shop becoz of a salesman named Ah Kang last time.. Ever since he quit liao, i stopped goin there. moreover, my fav mechanic at dat time went over to H*L...

 

All I can say is, their stuffs quite expensive...

but what is the normal warranty period ? Leong Seng offer 2 weeks which in my opinion is little to short.

 

Comparing to other bike shops in queensway, How does LS fare ? When i walk around there, i got a very bad feeling like sure kana chop

Hey bro, from my experience with other bike shops when i bought a 2nd hand bike..it is usually 1 month ler...try to check with them aight...n gd luck..

Well Leong Seng say can give me 1 month but parts must charge.

 

The other thing is i'm looking for hired purchase, they mentioned agreement fee of $250 and + the remaining bike value x 106%.

 

Is this agreement fee normal ?

harr...muz charge?..hmm..but also depends on whether its minor or major parts....Usually when they say they service your bike before u take over is like changing the spark plug, engine oil, coolant, 2t etc...the basic....

 

bro..for a 2nd hand bike usually from what i know in my experience we are not charge with agreement fees (Guys pls correct me if i'm wrong)...Let me tell you a brief description when i bought my first bike which is a 2nd hand Sp...

 

They told me my insurance is $360 (3rd party), Bike is $2400 ( FS plate) and plus 6% interest (Hire Purchase of 3 years)..So the bike itself to pay for 3 years including the interest is $2832..And i downpayment $400..that is to cover my insurance and extend 6 months road tax...

 

And when i bought the bike only got the headlight problem within that 1 month..I went back to the shop and they change the whole headlight console thingy for free...

hmmm Leong Seng say agreement fee is necessary!

 

My friend bought the SP, hired purchase: 6% x bike price + agreement fee

 

My friend also mentioned the service not done, cos when he kick gear very very tough. When he bring it to outside bike mechanic, oil and spark plug has to be changed.

 

Seems like Leong Seng is not that honest
