cephelix, you should. the first time i went down to thong aik, the auntie asked where i got my bike from, from a shop or from someone selling off his/her old bike. because i already heard about her famous tirades and dissent of ah joo, i told her i got it from someone who was selling off his/her own bike, not from a shop so as to avoid hearing crap about ah joo from her. it certainly worked as she didn't ask any more about my bike and the conversation ended there haha. haha. today when i went down however, i decided to witness for myself what she's capable of and i must say it was quite funny and entertaining to see her going off in a frenzy about ah joo. haha as i mentioned in my earlier post, the auntie is actually really quite nice otherwise. very patient and obliging and of cos, she has some cool rare stuff. if you don't want to hear her bitching about ah joo, just don't mention you bought your bike from ah joo / go to ah joo for servicing / plan to go to ah joo and you'll be spared from her famous speeches. if you want to be entertained by her, by all means, goad her on. haha

hmm you mean white wall tires? i saw a lot of tires at TA but didn't notice if they had white walled ones amongst them. you can call them and check. their number is 63379912.

kos when i went AJ, got see a scoot withnormal tyres but there's another piece that they fix together with the rims..

it doesn't stick to the tyre but instead is a separate piece that can be fixed on..

anybody know anything about that?

there are white walls fit-on as well as white walls tyres....

the white wall fit-on cost about $20 for 4 pieces....

the white wall tyres are about S$40 bucks each....some korean brand tyres....shinco if i am not wrong.....

yes, it is re-usable....but as it is white....it gets yellow after some time....

for S$20 for the fit-on white walls....u might as well spend it on something more purposeful....like tyres....good service.....or even new carbs....

yup....the engine is most impt....the rest will come as it goes along.....but if i am in your shoes...i will target the internal first....like getting a bigger carbs....

are you on 24/24 carbs? you mentioned that you are on pinasco kit rite?

and actually the plans of modding i've made so far are only plans..

not confirmed that i would do..

just waiting for you guys to dissect my scoot n see...

but i think the carb is 20/20....

all that's left performance-wise is carb and exhaust...

niways when i go to AJ on sat then i'll ask him for quotes on various stuff...

hmmm...having a pinasco kit and a stock 20/20 does not seems like a good match....

u might wanna start off with a bigger carbs....let the engine breathe better....

with tight budgets....chose what is most impt b4 you decide....

those white walls are pretty but not at all useful....

you could either save for a new carbs or new brakes.....

ask AJ if you are gtg down and plan your budget....

for now, i would think you just need to continue to adapt to your scoots...

When I said, nobody's perfect... I meant it.... You'll never find a Perfect scooter shop... you don't like a place, don't go there... simple as that.

 

 

cephelix... I seriously doubt your scoot has a 20/20 carb... stock for a px200 is a 24/24 (which if setup correctly should be ok...) We can check this at the meetup....
