:thumb: on ur chosen exhaust.. i never regretted a bit for choosing Akra over others for my bike...

just my thoughts.. don't take it too hard..

Next up,

01. Roof Helmet (Why Roof?) - coz sg tak byk org pakai... http://www.boxerv8.com/

02. Knuckle Visor (what is this?) To guard ur hands, similar to ST11/ST13 signal cum side mirrors

03. Belly Pan ( lots of choices for this.. u have to search thru and see what design u like) - mana tempat best price?

04. Side Panniers (Hepco & Becker.. nothing else come close not even flimsy GiVi) model and costs? estimates welcome

05. Brake and Clutch Levers

06. Brake Hose (this one is a good upgrade.. many brands available) - will heed nicky69haden's advise

07. Touring Windscreen ( if the stock is not protecting u from the windblast, change it.. anyway, if it is protecting u, change it.. Aftermarket looks way better.. hahaha) - totally agree

08. Seat Cover ( need to change so fast? unless it's for cosmetic but i think the stock one is way better than most shops is offering..esp those plastic printed ones..) - it's a slip-on, 1-seater look... http://www.yamaha-motor.co.uk/accessories/acc_overview.jsp#MC+Acc/Street/FZ6-S///2009

09. Steering Damper (do u really need this? track often? if not, i rather u spend ur money on beefing up ur suspensions. Root of many handling problems is improper suspension settings..esp spring load.. .) - great idea, thanks dude...

Disclaimer: at the end of the day, it's still ur bike and ur spending money.. we are just sharing our thoughts here... Some of us here might have gone thru the phase that you are going thru now.. so sket banyak boleh lah share share pendapat... cheers

nicky69haden

01. Roof Helmet (u can only order it online) - yeah already did...c",?

02. Knuckle Visor ( bnyk tempat ade, buy the metal guard type, so no 5 is unnecessary) - thanks for sharing

03. Belly Pan ( have always been a fan or puig products) - pat mana and harga berapa (estimates welcome)

04. Side Panniers (H&B, nothin else comes close) - berapa cost & apa model? gobi, explorer, etc..

05. Brake and Clutch Levers (kalo ko dah letak no 2, ni buat ape???) - Btol ckp

06. Brake Hose ( oem hose can last for bout 1 yr, so not urgent to change) - noted bro, thanks..

07. Touring Windscreen (not sure wats the current best) - You can't win them all...=)

08. Seat Cover ( buka seat terus sudah, duduk atas pipe je, supaya tak tertido mcm org tu..... faham2 sape je lah) - hahaha...:cheeky: gd one dude...

09. Steering Damper ( brapa laju ko nak bawa sampai letak damper??? takkan dah ade side boxes ko nak berdesut???) - btol ckp...

With regards to your disclaimer:

No worries bro,

That is normally what forums are all abt, to share & impart knowledge so that others may learn where we have not been able to...

I've been riding R1 for the past 8 yrs and decided to have a change of air thus that's where the FZ6 comes into play...

The list btw is just some things that I came across while searching for accessories..

Glad to get both ur feedback on the list...:thumb:

Too bad am always working, if not bleh join korang nye LKS session watever that means...c",?

it's suppose to deflect the wind from ur hands on the handlebar.. so far i have not known anyone using this before..

kalau this is what ur referring to, i suppose u do need the flip-up levers after all..

i think the ones that Nicky referring to are those handguards commonly found on dirtbikes.. i don't think u want to fix that on a very road/street bike.. it'll look odd to me..

Bro donszter,

Next up,

03. Belly Pan ( lots of choices for this.. u have to search thru and see what design u like) - mana tempat best price?

( like i said, u have to know which type ur looking for.. different brands have different style of belly pans.. so choose ur belly pan style 1st... From there then can talk prices.. it's easier tat way because different brands are carried by different shops..)

04. Side Panniers (Hepco & Becker.. nothing else come close not even flimsy GiVi) model and costs? estimates welcome

( model would be H&B Junior or Junior Flash. Both are black plastic cases. The Junior Flash comes with silver accents. Nicer in my opinion. The Flash and Flash Junior comes in 2 sizes, 30l or 40l.. 30l will not fit any helmet. 40l can fit a helmet. Normally, everyone will go for the 40l due to the larger capacity. Price range of the racks and panniers will be around $850 to $980. The difference between a 30L and a 40L panniers is $40. Can order the panniers from either Motorworld, BikeTech21, Chiap Lee, HKL or M-technik.. i personally prefer M-technik.)

(ooooo.. say lah.. thought u wanna change the covers.. paisey.. but then seriously, i find it a waste of money.. OEM stuffs not cheap.. i rather go for other things like the scottoiler.. superb chain oiling device.. no worries even during very long distance touring.. fill the reservoir up.. set to 3 to 4 drips per minute.. go phuket and come back, it's not even half finished.. save ur luggage space, no need to bring chainwax or oil.. normal day to day usage also good, easy to clean as well.. )

yup, i tot u were refering to the hand-guard.... kalo this is the item u r refering too, then my opinion, its more for cosmetic looks je, yes it deflects wind, but what bout rain? stones? a hand-guard would more cost effective n better, bcos wif the combinations of the knuckle visor+ clutch n brake lever is more than double the price of a set of handguards.

yes it will be odd-looking, but i would rather get things which serves me functionally well rather then juz lookz but with little purpose.

Niwae its up to individual lah..... btw tu moto ko bukannye moto aku kan

Gd luck with ur choice :thumb:

Bro donszter,

Next up,

03. Belly Pan ( lots of choices for this.. u have to search thru and see what design u like) - mana tempat best price?

( like i said, u have to know which type ur looking for.. different brands have different style of belly pans.. so choose ur belly pan style 1st... From there then can talk prices.. it's easier tat way because different brands are carried by different shops..)

-Ok den, how abt we approach this issue from another angle:

From your knowledge/expertise, what shops and where is the location have you encountered this item before? Takyah nak list down sumer, 2-3 kedai pon ok...

Yg pada kau 'OK'(by this i mean you will want to put it on your bike) and reasonably priced as well..

Aku nak survey tapi takmo pergi satu² kedai tanya, Ahboy leceh byk org, klau nak enquire makan masa, hati, jantung dan lain² yg sewaktu dgn nya..

Paham ehk....(x3)-

-OK, ni machiam I'll try M-technik as per ur rekomendation...-

08. Seat Cover ( need to change so fast? unless it's for cosmetic but i think the stock one is way better than most shops is offering..esp those plastic printed ones..) - it's a slip-on, 1-seater look... http://www.yamaha-motor.co.uk/access...t/FZ6-S///2009

(ooooo.. say lah.. thought u wanna change the covers.. paisey.. but then seriously, i find it a waste of money.. -Takyah Paiseh bro, I can understand where u guys are coming from. My fault also for generalising the 'seat cover' terminology. Scottoiler is also a gd investment i dun deny and will fix that in maybe in the next 2 mths or so when touring season gets back on track.-:thumb:

Your contribution is deeply appreciated dude..
